WWW.OUT.COMIs 'Overcompensating' season 2 happening? Latest updatesIn a recent interview with Variety, the head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, Vernon Sanders, hinted at the possibility of a second season for Benito Skinner's show, Overcompensating, and shared that a writers' room has begun. During his conversation, he spoke about the recent success that Amazon has seen with their most recent releases, like The Summer I Turned Pretty, We Were Liars, Motorheads, and Overcompensating. When asked about the possibility of second-season orders for the shows that did well, Sanders told the publication that he and his team at Amazon were "excited by what weve seen with Motorheads and Overcompensating," sharing that both shows have very passionate fanbases and high completion rates. These successful shows are "working on Season two writers rooms, and well hope to have renewal announcements soon on some, if not all, of those shows."Fans of Overcompensating have been waiting for any update they could get their hands on since the release of the first season. The show found its audience, especially among social media users who posted about the show, shared clips of their favorite moments, and got excited about their favorite influencer making a cameo. During the press tour of the show, Skinner has shared multiple times that he is ready to start work on season two and has several ideas for a second season. "I think I know what I want to do and theres so much more we wanna say," Skinner told Variety in May. "There will be backslide, and thats what that finale is. This journey of becoming yourself and overcompensating, its a rollercoaster and at times I think college can be so selfish and you can be like, its every man for himself. Its drugs and alcohol and feelings and we didnt want to stray from that, and we want to continue it.0 Comments 0 Shares 12 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.OUT.COMEthel Cain discusses resurfaced racist posts in revealing interviewEthel Cain appeared on the most recent episode of The New York Times' music podcast, Popcast, to talk about everything from her upcoming album to her recent controversy involving unearthed racist posts. During her conversation with the hosts, pop music critic Jon Caramanica and culture reporter Joe Coscarelli, Cain addressed the controversy at length for the first time.Cain's racist posts uploaded on Tumblr when she was a teenager resurfaced among the singer's fanbase in recent months. In these posts, Cain admitted to using the n-word and saying things like "build that wall" to mock Latin people. She also posted a photo of herself wearing a shirt that said "Legalize Incest," among many other harmful jokes. She uploaded a lengthy statement in which she apologized and took accountability for her actions, while also sharing that she felt the timing of these resurfaced posts was part of a "transphobic hate campaign." @popcast After offensive social media posts were resurfaced online, the singer and songwriter Ethel Cain responded in a detailed letter to her fans. On Popcast, she addressed the controversy at length for the first time. For the full interview, visit YouTube.com/popcast or wherever you get your podcasts . #music #ethelcain #popcast In a clip that was posted to TikTok, the "American Teenager" singer said that seeing her old posts get unearthed was "deeply shameful and embarrassing." She noted that it was especially now that she's created a project centered around trauma and healing, "coming from these places in life where you've been shot down and hurt." Cain continued and said, "To then have things that you have done, that are shooting down other people and hurting people, it's one of the worst things you can do."The singer then goes on to say that her posts were intentionally inflammatory and stands by not making excuses for her past statements. "For every bit of pain that you've caused, you have to try and atone for it. When I look at that person, I see someone who did not care about their life and did not care about what they said."At that point in her life, Cain explains, she had no friends, no followers, and that these posts were between her and a bunch of other edgelord teenagers. The clip ends with her reflecting on the fact that now, as a 27-year-old, she knows better than to put all of her business on the internet and to say things like what was resurfaced.0 Comments 0 Shares 11 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.OUT.COMA timeline of 'Project Runway' winners to celebrate season 21One day you're in. The next day you win.The gays have been obsessed with Project Runway since its inception. However, with so many changes to the fashion world and the reality TV landscape, many people assumed this beloved competition series would ever return. As of 2025 Yes, it is!To celebrate Project Runway season 21, we've put together a timeline of every single winner.Jay McCarroll (Season 1)The very first winner of Project Runway, Jay McCarroll, went to school at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) prior to getting cast on Project Runway. His run in the reality competition series was pretty interesting considering that this was the show's first season ever in that he never won a single challenge until the grand finale.Speaking of finales! Despite winning season 1 of Project Runway, McCarroll famously declined to receive the $100,000 grand prize due to contractual details set by the production team back then. Namely, the contract would've forced him to share 10 percent of ownership for his future work, and McCarroll was not interested.Chloe Dao (Season 2)Chloe Dao became a huge star after winning season 2 of Project Runway. Though some fans questioned if she was fully invested in the competition, the judges constantly gave her 10s across the board when it came to her undeniable talents as a designer.Jeffrey Sebelia (Season 3)Jeffrey Sebelia used to be a professional singer before transitioning into the fashion world. He was also open about his sobriety (and struggles with substance abuse).Christian Siriano (Season 4)At just 22 years old, Christian Siriano made history as the youngest winner of the franchise thus far. Since season 4, Siriano has arguably become one of the most successful designers of the entire franchise, which is still true, even now.Siriano immediately launched his own fashion label and went on to dress high-profile stars ranging from Rihanna to Kelly Clarkson. In the 2025 reboot of Project Runway on Freeform, Hulu, and Disney+, Siriano appears as a mentor to the contestants a position previously held by the legendary Tim Gunn.Leanne Marshall (Season 5)Leanne Marshall had one of the bumpiest rides in Project Runway history, landing in a bottom placement early on, in season 5, and almost going home. In the end, though, she did manage to win the show. A real gag!Irina Shabayeva (Season 6)Selena Gomez and Carrie Underwood were among the A-listers dressed by Irina Shabayeva after the won Project Runway season 6. In the competition, Shabayeva never landed in the bottom, and even went on to compete in two seasons of Project Runway All Stars.During the all-winners season of Project Runway All Stars, she ultimately finished the competition in third place overall.Seth Aaron Henderson (Season 7)Seth Aaron Henderson would eventually make history by becoming the first two-time winner of Project Runway. His first run, in season 7, was a really interesting journey. Oh, and let's not forget that Henderson took home $150,000 as the grand prize.Gretchen Jones (Season 8)If you know the saying, "Ugh, you just had to be there!", this victory was definitely one of those moments. The Project Runway panel of judges was more divided than ever on whether they wanted to crown Gretchen Jones as the season 8 winner. Ultimately, that is indeed what happened But not without a fight!Anya Ayoung-Chee (Season 9)The stunning Anya Ayoung-Chee came into Project Runway season 9 as a former competitor at the Miss Universe Trinidad and Tobago pageant. While some fans and fellow competitors doubted if Ayoung-Chee had the skills to win the show due to her lack of experience, she still came out victorious in the end.Dmitry Sholokhov (Season 10)Another Project Runway winner with an interesting background was Dmitry Sholokhov. Prior to season 10, he was a ballroom dancer had the judges gagging week after week after week for his work in fashion design.Michelle Lesniak Franklin (Season 11)It definitely took nerve, as RuPaul would say, for Michelle Lesniak Franklin to win Project Runway season 11. She struggled a bit in the first few episodes, but kept bouncing back, and finished this competition as the crowned winner.Dom Streater (Season 12)All the way from Philadelphia, Dom Streater was only 24 years of age when she won Project Runway 12. Streater was always an avid supporter of women supporting other women a throughline that she demonstrated time and time again during that season.Sean Kelly (Season 13)Sean Kelly, from New Zealand, was another winner whose background (prior to the show) and progress (during the competition) felt like a subversion of viewers' expectations. At the time after winning Project Runway season 13 Kelly stayed in New York City to live and to work.Ashley Nell Tipton (Season 14)Ashley Nell Tipton's main message in season 14 centered on struggling to find clothes that were beautiful and also fitting for plus-size women. With that frustration and motivation in mind, Tipton created some phenomenal work in the competition.Erin Robertson (Season 15)Similarly to Michelle Lesniak Franklin (season 11 winner), Erin Robertson had a wild journey on season 15 of Project Runway But she still won! This is certainly one of the most exciting comeback stories in the entire series.Kentaro Kameyama (Season 16)Season 16 of Project Runway was all about Brandon Kee. In comparison, Kentaro Kameyama was among the oldest competitors of the cast (age 38) and was classically trained to play the piano. Project Runway fans who watched season 16 play out in real time will remember that this victory was pretty surprising it was well-deserved, but Kee seemed to be a much more obvious choice as far as viewers and other contestants could tell.Sebastian Grey (Season 17)Colombian designer Sebastian Grey won Project Runway season 17 with a dazzling run that demonstrated how proud he is of his country of birth and heritage. It was also really exciting to see how Grey would take on more "traditional" pieces and turn them into fashion-forward looks.Geoffrey Mac (Season 18)One thing Project Runway fans will never forget the adorable and emotional moment when Geoffrey Mac immediately called his father after being declared the winner of season 18. Throughout the competition, Mac was pretty open about mental health struggles like anxiety, imposter syndrome, and burnout.Shantall Lacayo (Season 19)From Nicaragua to Miami to Project Runway season 19, Shantall Lacayo won the show and cashed in a giant grand prize of $250,000. Lacayo talked about her dreams of moving to New York City after the show to pursue the opportunity in the city where everything happens.Bishme Cromartie (Season 20)Season 20 was a special Project Runway All Stars edition that included season 17 star Bishme Cromartie. His beautiful and devastating final collection on the show honored his sister who, at the time, had just died two months before the season filmed. And yet, Cromartie persevered and won the show.0 Comments 0 Shares 12 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.OUT.COMA WNBA game was just interrupted by a flying sex toy and the game has never been more gayA bright green sex toy just made a headline-grabbing appearance at a WNBA game, and the internet cant stop talking about it.As the Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream battled it out on the court during a deadlocked 75-75 point game, the final minute before the clock wound down was interrupted by a fan throwing a lime green dildo onto the court. The WNBA has never been more gay than in this moment, and thats really saying something considering how sapphic this sport is. Right as the clock struck 1:00 in the fourth quarter of this contentious game on July 29, the spicy toy was lobbed onto the court, and the referee blew the whistle to stop the game while they tried to figure out what the object was. (@) In a video clip of the incident that has since gone viral, a police officer is seen collecting the dildo so that play could resume. The whole thing was caught on tape because an ingenious camera person managed to zoom in on the sex toy that managed to stop a professional basketball game. This is the kind of journalism we want to see more of!People on the court and in the audience were clearly perplexed by what had happened, but no one was more surprised than the commentator who said, Nobodys picked the object up yet, and oh my gosh when she finally saw what it was.The lime green dildo turned out to be a good omen for the Valkyries, who ended up winning 77-75.Normally, wed say the New York Liberty have everyone beat on sapphic entertainment during a game because of Ellie the Elephants sexy dance moves, but Atlanta may now be crowned the most lesbian arena in the league!Of course, this event broke the internet, and people all over social media have been flooding the timelines of women's sports fans with hilarious memes ever since. (@) "The TL created a masterpiece with this one" (@) "Thats just a mouth guard right?" (@) "#WelcomeToTheW" (@) "Just another day in the WNBA" (@) "They threw what on the court?" (@) "Damn how my shit get there" (@) "ME When the camera man panned the floor in Atlanta:" (@) "jordins reaction is frying meee" (@) "What was on the court" (@) "In case yall were too busy giggling over the ATL incident, this just happened in LA" (@) "I know somebody didnt just throw a big ass dildo on the Atlanta Dream court just now." WWW.OUT.COM10 gay moments from the 'Twinless' trailer that have us sweating with anticipationMonths ago, Teen Wolf star Dylan OBriens upcoming film, Twinless, set the internet ablaze after the films hot and heavy gay sex scene leaked following its Sundance Festival premiere in February.OBrien stars as Roman as he navigates life without his twin brother. At a support group for twins who have lost their siblings, he encounters Dennis, played by James Sweeney, who also wrote and directed the movie. As Roman and Dennis get to know each other, they become inseparable outside the group as they search for solace and an identity without their other halves, according to a press release for the film. However, after meeting Dennis co-worker, Marcie (Aisling Franciosi), all is revealed to be not what it seems, as each man harbors secrets that could unravel everything. The film also stars Gilmore Girls alum Lauren Graham as Lisa, mother to Roman and his twin brother, Rocky, who is going through her own grieving process throughout the storyline. After dazzling critics who praised the films dark, inventive comedy, Lionsgate set an official release for September 5 so we can finally all see what the fuss is about. The trailer also captures the lighthearted humor in the first half, then teases some of its darker tones in the second. Scroll through for our initial reaction, and be sure to check out the full trailer after!Dylan OObrian looks amazingWe love how he looks without a shirt, and we cant wait to see what started the conversation around the sex scene.I like balls. The first time Roman and Dennis meet, Dennis is eating a cookie at the meeting, and Roman warns him not to eat it, saying it tastes like balls. Dennis responds by saying he likes balls to insinuate flirtation, then responds accordingly when he tastes how bad the cookie actually is in a totally adorable (and relatable) situation.Queer love with understandingWhile Roman and Dennis are getting to know each other, Roman pauses for a moment, gives Dennis a longing stare, and says, You get me. Cue gay hearts melting everywhere. You should meet this gay guy...When Roman mentions introducing Dennis to a gay man he knows, Dennis jokes by comparing being Asian to meaning he has a lot of Asian friends. Sure feels like Roman was really crushing and using this as a deflection, though!Couple's costumeThe scene of Dennis and Roman showing up in a couple's costume cosplaying the Sims is basically all we need to know to be sure were going to fall in love with this duo.Gym sex?Whatever is going on with these two at the gym is everything we hope we see every time we go to the gym. Were equally intrigued and jealous!Feeding each other marshmallows?!I mean, come on. How cute is it when two men stuff each others faces with marshmallows and essentially play an adult version of Chubby Bunny? So much gay longingIt seems like both characters in the movie experience some form of gay longing for each otherwhich we assume builds the tension toward that scene.Wait how graphic will that scene be?Why do we have a feeling were getting ourselves in deeper than we thought? (Not that going deeper is a bad thing)Together or separate? As cute as it seems, this also looks like a really stressful will they/wont they situation that might break our hearts.Plus, we get two of our girl crushes at once!We get Lauren Graham and Tasha Smith from Survival of the Thickest in the same film? How did we get so lucky? The less you know, the betterA review from The New York Post during the trailer says, the less you know, the better during the tonal shift, and it just adds to the drama and mystery of it all. What looks to be a sweet rom-com of two lost men exploring grief together turns into a film about exploring the limits of human emotions and the secrets we keep.We just hope the hype, the reception, and the trailer actually live up to themselves. Most of the reviews talk about the twists and turns, and we love a good movie that keeps us guessing the whole way.Plus, were always here for a good gay sex scene.Check out the trailer below:0 Comments 0 Shares 10 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.OUT.COMLinkedIn exposes transgender users to targeted harassment after company quietly changes hate speech policyLinkedIn, the popular professional networking platform, has quietly stripped explicit protections for transgender and nonwhite users from its English-language hate speech rules, repeating a playbook now familiar to LGBTQ+ advocates tracking the rollback of content safeguards across major social media platforms. The changes, first flagged by the nonprofit Open Terms Archive and independently confirmed by The Advocate, involve edits to LinkedIns Professional Community Policies, specifically the Hateful and Derogatory Content and Harassment and Abusive Content sections. In both, references to protections for transgender people and people of color were either weakened or removed entirely. Before Monday, the sites Hateful and Derogatory Content page included a line explicitly prohibiting the misgendering or deadnaming of transgender individuals as an example of hate speech. That language has now been deleted. The same page still states that LinkedIn prohibits content that attacks, denigrates, intimidates, dehumanizes, incites or threatens hatred against individuals based on characteristics including gender identity and race. But misgendering and deadnaming, terms that refer to deliberately using the wrong name or pronouns for a transgender person, are no longer explicitly prohibited.Related: What LGBTQ+ people should know about Metas new rulesThe company also edited its Harassment and Abusive Content section. In the previous version, LinkedIn made clear that content that negatively targets others on the basis of inherent traits, like race or gender identity, would be enforced under its hate speech rules. That language has now been changed to exclude those specific attributes, referencing only inherent traits without further definition. The page still prohibits behaviors such as doxxing, trolling, and comparing people to hate groups, and includes a new reference to perceived gender in the context of disparaging appearance, but makes no mention of transgender identity or expression.Archived versions show the deleted language was still live on the site as recently as Monday, and had been in place since at least April 2023. No announcement accompanied the edits, which are not reflected in LinkedIns Trust and Safety blog or other transparency channels. After an inquiry from The Advocate, a LinkedIn spokesperson initially defended the platforms stance against identity-based abuse, asserting that We regularly update our policies. Personal attacks, intimidation or hate speech toward anyone based on their identity, including misgendering, violates our harassment policy and is not allowed on our platform.Less than an hour later, the company asked to revise that statement, removing the phrase hate speech and instead mirroring the new policy language: Personal attacks or intimidation toward anyone based on their identity, including misgendering, violates our harassment policy and is not allowed on our platform.Related: Advocates cry foul after YouTube quietly removes gender identity from hate speech policyWhen asked to clarify whether LinkedIns new wording allows certain forms of dehumanizing or hateful language to go unaddressed, a second company spokesperson said neither and pointed to LinkedIns Hateful and Derogatory Content page.LinkedIns changes come at a time when the Trump administration continues its full-scale rollback of LGBTQ+ rights. Within hours of his second inauguration in January, President Donald Trump signed an executive order instructing all federal agencies to define sex and gender based on birth assignment. Since then, federal departments have removed protections for trans people across health care, education, the military, and immigration services. The LGBTQ+ media nonprofit GLAAD condemned the move as an overt anti-LGBTQ+ shift that mirrors troubling developments at Meta and YouTube under the influence of regulatory and political pressure of the second Trump administration. The revision removes key clarity at a time when targeted abuse against transgender people is surging. Its the latest in a disturbing trend, a GLAAD spokesperson told The Advocate. Following Meta and YouTube earlier this year, yet another social media company is choosing to adopt cowardly business practices to try to appease anti-LGBTQ political ideologues at the expense of user safety.According to GLAADs 2025 Social Media Safety Index, released in May, major tech platforms are failing LGBTQ+ users, and in some cases, actively endangering them. The report, which didnt include LinkedIn, shows protections for LGBTQ+ people online have eroded dramatically over the past year, especially on platforms owned by Meta and Google. Every company surveyed received a failing grade, with TikTok scoring highest at just 56 out of 100 and X (formerly Twitter) lowest at 30.Targeted misgendering and deadnaming are among the most frequent and insidious forms of anti-trans hate online, the GLAAD spokesperson said. The policy rollback at LinkedIn closely echoes the arc of changes at Meta, the parent company of Instagram, Facebook, and Threads. In January, The Advocate reported that Meta had rewritten its Hateful Conduct policies to allow posts that previously would have been banned, so long as they are framed as political or religious discourse. The companys new rules explicitly permit content excluding trans and gay people from restrooms, sports, and employment, and even allow for content portraying LGBTQ+ identities as abnormal or mentally ill.In April, The Advocate reported that YouTube removed gender identity and expression from its hate speech policy. The company called the deletion a copy edit but never restored the language or explained the rationale.Related: LGBTQ+ peoples safety has plummeted across social media platforms: reportAs transgender and nonbinary people face escalating attacks and extreme dehumanizing rhetoric from the right, including from political leaders and government agencies, social media platforms have a clear responsibility to uphold basic protections, the GLAAD spokesperson said. Instead, LinkedIn is aligning with the far-right Project 2025, which calls for targeting woke culture warriors start[ing] with deleting the terms sexual orientation and gender identity...Microsoft, which owns LinkedIn, prominently touts its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in annual reports and public campaigns. Its 2024 Global Diversity & Inclusion Report declares, Empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. The companys Chief Diversity Officer emphasizes the importance of creating a thriving organization rooted in differing perspectives and inclusive behavior. When The Advocate asked Microsoft to comment on LinkedIns removal of the transgender protections, the company did not answer questions. A spokesperson confirmed that they were looking into this, without responding further.Hate speech policies are a reflection of a companys values, the GLAAD spokesperson told The Advocate. If LinkedIn believes that transgender and nonbinary people should be protected from hate and harassment, they should clearly state this without resorting to confusing doublespeak.0 Comments 0 Shares 11 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.OUT.COM'Wish You Were Queer' throws two West Hollywood comics into the wildWhat would you do if a well-known RuPaul's Drag Race alum dares you to take your comedic bit from the Midwest to the South? Well, that's precisely what Michael Henry and Tim Murray did in OutTV's latest original, Wish You Were Queer. The series takes Michael and Tim to various destinations, where they learn about LGBTQ+ life and culture beyond West Hollywood's queer bubble."We really wanted to see what life was like outside of New York and LA," Michael told Out. The duo has previously performed in smaller cities, where they discovered the communities there were stronger than previously thought. "You know, people always think, oh, you have to go to New York, LA, Chicago, San Francisco to find a gay community, but no," he says. The series premiere opens with "the most successful business woman in the world," Trixie Mattel, meeting with them in between working on, well, business. "I'm a very busy businesswoman doing businesswoman stuff." As they settle in for the impromptu meeting, Trixie throws her computer into the pool. "Can somebody get me another computer?" she requests. "That one was trying to show me a Chris Pratt movie with, like, straight people driving cars.""Straight people," Trixie whispers with disapproval.Of course, this was a bit for the cameras. But in truth, Trixie supports all kinds of queer endeavors. "She's one of those who literally is just always championing others," Tim affirms to Out. Michael agrees with the statement: "She's been the best, you know. She's been along with us on this journey the whole timefrom when we started pitching this idea to filming it."Though the series has Michael and Tim exploring LGBTQ+ communities outside of West Hollywood, Wish You Were Queer showcases the friendship between the two. Comedy is chemistry, and the pair is basically like queer nitrogen and glycerin. So, what's the secret ingredient to their platonic chemistry?"We're very different in a lot of ways," Tim answers, admitting a possible rationale could be in Michael being the eldest child and Tim being the youngest. "But I think that's what makes our chemistry work so well."The cities they visit along their travels range from Columbus, Ohio, to Pensacola, Florida. Throughout their journey, they found communities and chosen families that made them feel seen, challenging assumptions about so-called 'Middle America.' "I felt very seen in Pensacola," Michael reflects, admitting he enjoyed meeting people from different walks of life and upbringings. Tim favored New Orleans and Louisville, though the latter has a place in his heart. "It's truly become one of my favorite cities," he beams."I really want us to play much more difficult rooms than we did this season," Tim replies when asked about their hopes for a second season. "It's the funniest thing when we're in a struggle!" Michael, meanwhile, wants to try unique venues. "Maybe in a nude resort," he retorts with a laugh, also mentioning a parking lot as an idea. "I think that watching us be challenged is very entertaining."You can catch up on the first season of Wish You Were Queer on OutTV's YouTube Channel. WWW.LGBTQANDALL.COMWhy Local Medical Billing Support MattersIf you run a healthcare practice, you know how frustrating and unpredictable billing can be. The smallest error can lead to a denied claim, a delayed payment, or worse a patient who loses trust in your system. Ive worked with many practices over the years, and one lesson I keep learning is this: billing isnt just about coding; its about communication, responsiveness, and local understanding. Thats where local medical billing support proves its value. The Hidden Costs of Distant Billing TeamsOutsourcing your billing to a distant or faceless team may seem efficient at first, but it can come with serious hidden costs: When your billing support isnt local, you lose the ability to quickly align, adapt, and problem-solve in real time. Why Local Billing Teams Make a DifferenceTheres something powerful about having people who understand your environment. A local billing company knows the insurers, the rules, and the patients you work with every day.Better CommunicationLocal teams are in your time zone and often available to meet in person. This allows for faster responses, real-time problem-solving, and better coordination with your front desk staff.Regional Insurance ExpertiseEvery region has its own quirks. From Medicaid variations to regional payers and policy changes, a local team can navigate these faster and more accurately.Stronger Patient SupportPatients are more comfortable talking to someone who sounds like theyre part of the same system. A billing partner who can answer patient questions without putting them on hold for hours builds long-term trust. What to Look For in a Local Billing PartnerIf youre considering switching to a local billing company, here are a few things I recommend looking for:Proven experience with providers in your areaKnowledge of your states Medicaid and insurance landscapeIn-person or real-time virtual supportIntegrated systems for smoother handoff between clinical and billingCustom reporting that reflects your local payersSwift Medical Billing: A Local Partner You Can TrustAt Swift Medical Billing, we specialize in supporting independent practices across the Pacific Northwest. It comes from doing the basics consistently and well. And thats what a local billing partner helps you do.Submit cleaner claims the first timeGet denials resolved fasterTrack trends specific to your payer mixTrain your staff based on real-world dataThis leads to fewer surprises, fewer patient complaints, and more predictable income month to month.Choosing the Right Medical Billing Company in OregonIf your practice is based in Oregon, you already know how dynamic the insurance landscape can be. From Medicaid CCOs to private payers and growing behavioral health demand, staying on top of your revenue requires someone who knows the local game. WWW.OUT.COMGo Ask Alex: Is my online dom/sub relationship healthy?Hey Mr! I hope you are doing well (if those thick thighs are a reflection of how well you are doing, you are doing well indeed). Youre one of the only sensible voices in kink I know. What do you think about online dom/sub relations? Im currently getting into one. Im married, but he isnt into kink, so I have an agreed outlet online where there is a lot of fantasy but no touching.I guess my question is, do you think thats healthy? It gives me an outlet for my dominant tendencies. But at the same time, it makes me a bit uncomfortable to let this (my predilection for domination) out.I know you are not Dear Abby, but if you could offer me some advice, I would be grateful. If you cant, thats cool.Best!Hi mister,I am kinda like Dear Abby. Thanks for the thick thighs complimentyouve seen my Instagram. (If anyone reading this would rather submit a question there than via email, its @badalexcheves). Reading your question, I'm not sure what advice you need. Advice on being dominant? Or doing it online? Whats the issue?I think it's great to let your dominant side out. But your question is not clear: Are you uncomfortable letting your dominant side out on the internet because its the internet? Or does your discomfort lie in letting your dominant side out in any capacity? Related: I'm older & heavy. Will a muscular escort still be into me?I sense its the latter. If so, is your hesitation rooted in ethics? Propriety? Social mores? Faith? These are real things you should ask yourself. You ask me specifically if I think its healthy to let your dominant side out, which could mean many things, but at its simplest, it suggests you believe doing so might be unhealthy in some way. Id say that if you have any inclination to be sexually dominant, its healthier to let that out with someone who willingly consents to it than to repress it or, worse, unleash it on someone who does not desire or consent to it, like your current partner. Many gay men, when they talk about unhealthy sex, are talking about the in-person kind that involves the risk of sexually transmitted infections. But that risk is nonexistent in an online relationship. So, the unhealthy aspect of it youre worried about must fall somewhere in moral or mental territory. Unhealthy here, then, means something akin to wicked or wrong. To me, thats scratching at a moral feeling, a belief. I have a rule about those: It is not my job to change anyones beliefs about sex. Let me explain that. Beliefsreligious and otherwisedictate human sexuality. Across the world, beliefs shape and define what we do and dont allow ourselves to explore and experience. I think a sex writer should only offer encouragement (or, when necessary, discouragement) for things people already want to do, or have entertained the idea of doing, or are currently doing. Related: He gave me a 'pass' for sex with others. Should I take it?The ethical line, then, is drawn at encouraging something a reader does not want to dosomething they do desire or do not believe is right. To me, thats wrong. Regardless of what I think, suggesting a reader change their beliefs or do something they dont honestly desire feels like a breach of the unspoken, unofficial contract between those who ask for help and those who provide it. I can give facts, tips, and advice, but I cant make you believe something you dont, because beliefs arent rooted in factstheyre inner things, soul things. I once had little respect for those things, but thats changed. You must do what you believe is right. There is only so far a digital role-play, dom/sub thing can go. You can have video calls and tell him what to do. You can watch each other, wank to each other, talk to each other, perform on camera, and much else. You can connect deeply, confess, share things youve never shared with anyone else, and develop real, deep feelings. Findom (financial domination) setups are common online. You can consensually humiliate and degrade someone on Twitter by posting (mutually agreed-upon) photos of them from an anonymous account. I know subs who love that sort of thing. You can also get scammed, conned, abused, hacked, have your pictures uploaded to some site youre not aware of, and all sorts of sinister things. Thats the internet, babe. So, if you choose to do it, remember common-sense safety measures regarding the internet and taking naked pictures that include your face (dont take or send them), showing recognizable tattoos or places in your photos (dont), and so on. If youre chatting on a site, dont create a username thats your real name. Dont send passwords. Be wary of suspicious links. Ultimately, interacting with strangers online is always a risk. Image sharing online can be a matter of mutual vulnerability: you can screenshot anything he sends you, and vice versa, so it behooves you both to respect the others privacy. Even so, there are millions of bad actors online, and the potential that he is one is higher if youve never met him in person and never plan to. Regardless of where your hesitation is coming from, you at least seem aware that sexual self-expression is necessary in a long-term relationship, and you seem comfortable with the idea of pursuing it within the parameters set by you and your partner. Thats a good start. Id give it a shot. I hope it feeds your dominant urge. If not, I hope you at least entertain my belief that purely online dom/sub interactions are a poor substitute for the real thing. If theres any danger here, its that of liking it too much and wanting more. I dont think thats unhealthy at all, but it might pose a risk to your relationship. You might, at some point, need to ask yourself if the no-touching rule works for youand what that means if it doesnt. I dont want to speed anyones journey along, but if you wish to fast-forward things a bit, consider discussing with your partner the possibility of opening up your relationship to include real, physical intimacy with others. You can agree on the terms of iton when, where, and with whom its allowed. You might not think you want that now, but that is something you should prepare for. Because getting bitched out as a quivering sub is better in real life, and being a brutal dom is too. Ive done both. Trust me: You will want to take it offline and into the bedroom.Hey there! Im Alexander Cheves. Im a sex writer and former sex workerI worked in the business for over 12 years. You can read my sex-and-culture column Last Call in Out and my book My Love Is a Beast: Confessions, from Unbound Edition Press. But be warned: Kirkus Reviews says the book is "not for squeamish readers. In the past, I directed (ahem) adult videos and sold adult products. I have spoken about subjects like cruising, sexual health, and HIV at the International AIDS Conference, SXSW, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and elsewhere, and appeared on dozens of podcasts. Here, Im offering sex and relationship advice to Outs readers. WWW.OUT.COMSir Ian McKellen is a Charli XCX stan: 'I can't get enough of him'Sir Ian McKellen is a certified Angel, well, kind of, we think. The prolific gay actor made a surprise appearance at a UK city's first-ever Pride event and the premiere of a film that he's starring in, called Dragged Through Time, made by a 14-year-old director.Sign up for the Out Newsletter to keep up with what's new in LGBTQ+ culture and entertainment delivered three times a week straight (well) to your inbox! While at the event, a young interviewer asked the Lord of the Rings actor if he was a fan of Charli XCX and he quickly and emphatically replied, "Can't get enough of him!" The interviewers were not able to keep their composure and started laughing, so McKellen quickly tried to correct himself, "Her? Them? Them." The sweet exchange took off on social media and everyone thought the interaction was so wholesome. Charli, make him the Apple girl next, it's what he deserves!"He thought they meant Charles XavierCharlesXavier," one person joked in the replies to a post on X. "I love Charli! He's such a great guy," someone else joked. @pinknews The first-ever Windsor & Eton Pride made a powerful debut on Saturday 26th July, attracting over 9,000 attendees to Alexandra Gardens for a vibrant celebration of LGBTQ+ inclusion and community spirit. The landmark event, the culmination of two years of dedicated volunteer effort, saw hundreds march along the historic Long Walk with the iconic Windsor Castle as a backdrop. A highlight of the day was a surprise appearance by Ian McKellen, who addressed the main stage, emphasising the profound importance of Pride. He was introduced by 14-year-old Jacob Franklin, director of the film 'Dragged Through Time', which chronicles episodes of gay history and premiered at the event. McKellan joined the Pride march and was later asked by @Liam At 86 years old, McKellen is still keeping himself busy with new projects. This includes a new movie about 1,000 years of gay history, where he plays the role of Great Uncle Peter, a semi-closeted older relative to the main character, so it makes sense as to why he'd want to stay in touch with all the goings on in pop culture.McKellen agreed to do the movie when the director, Jacob Franklin, was connected with the legendary actor through Eton College's director of drama, Scott Handy."We weren't really expecting a reply but then he texts us back and says in his words, not mine, that he's 'really inspired by this and would love to come and do this.' And I'm like, yes, absolutely," Franklin told PinkNews in an interview. "Were bringing a lot of skills together. Were making our own music, were mostly making our own costumes and designing it all. My best friends working on the music, and Nic, whos on the Pride committee, is our dress-maker."0 Comments 0 Shares 10 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.OUT.COMRed light therapy sex toys are the buzz sexologists explain the tech & if LGBTQ+ folks need oneApparently, there are more choices out there than a wand and a rabbit!Queer women and vagina having folks have likely sampled a bevy of sex toys. From strap-ons with various-sized dildos to vibrators and suction toys, there is so much to try.We also know that some women are pampering their pusses with vagacials, but did you know that there was a device that can both give you amazing Os and roll back the sands of time for your vagina? Queer comedian Margaret Cho educated the masses on the benefits of red light therapy dildos when she was a guest on the Here to Make Friends podcast last week.I have a red light dildo and like the light goes on inside and its like Im telling my pussy a scary story, Cho joked, telling the hosts about how it increases blood flow and helps enhance things as you age.But what is a red light therapy dildo? To find out what it is, what the benefits are, and whether LGBTQ+ folks need to give them a try, we talked to sex experts to give us all the deets on these sex toys-meet-medical devices. What is a red light therapy sex toy?We normally think of red light therapy in the context of anti-aging treatments or scar reduction, but these futuristic sex toys use low levels of red light therapy also known as photobiomodulation to stimulate the cells in your body using specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light.Red light therapy sex toys combine the benefits of red light therapy with pleasure-focused design. Its basically red light therapy for vaginas, Clinical Sexologist and Sex Therapist Brionna Ott tells PRIDE.The most popular of these devices and the one Cho uses herself is the VFit Device, made by Halle Berrys company Joylux, which will run you about $400. But dont worry, penises havent been left out of the fun, according to David R. Khalili, a licensed marriage and family therapist and board-certified sexologist, the Optimus Red Lady combines red light therapy with male strokers, targeting penile health while providing stimulation.Think of them as the wellness-meets-pleasure intersectionthey're trying to be both your self-care routine and your good time, all in one rechargeable package, he says of these kinds of sex toys. What are the benefits of red light therapy sex toys? The last time sex toys were combined with Western medicine, we ended up with doctors using vibrators on female patients to cure hysteria, but according to our experts, red light therapy sex toys actually have proven benefits. Plus, youre using them in the privacy of your own home and not in a Victorian-era doctors office.According to Ott, red light therapy sex toys can increase vaginal wall thickness, improve libido, increase vaginal lubrication, boost sensation, reduce inflammation-related discomfort, and repair damaged tissue. Khalili says they can also promote stronger pelvic floor muscles, increase blood flow, which can improve arousal and sexual response, and support postpartum recovery, while penile devices can potentially improve erectile function by boosting cellular energy production and nitric oxide release. Are there side effects? The FDA has not approved any devices specifically for treating sexual health symptoms, and cites risks including burns, scarring, and pain if device power is too high, Khalili cautions. People with photosensitivity conditions, those taking certain medications that increase light sensitivity, or those with active infections should avoid use.He also recommends using eye protection and says that while red light therapy is generally considered safe you should keep an eye out for redness, swelling, and blistering and ask your doctor before trying one out if you have a history eye or skin cancer. Are there specific benefits for LGBTQ+ individuals? While Khalili says that most red light therapy research has been done on cisgender, heterosexual participants and not on the fabulous queers out there, the devices could help those experiencing vaginal atrophy from hormone therapy (both gender-affirming testosterone therapy and estrogen-suppressing treatments) because it may help with tissue repair and blood flow without the need for additional hormones. Red light therapy sex toys may also prove helpful for trans and nonbinary people who have undergone vaginoplasty or other gender-affirming surgeries. After a major surgery, reconnecting with the body can be physically and emotionally difficult. If someone is dealing with scarring, inflammation, numbness, or lubrication issues, a product like this could offer gentle support, Ott explains. It may also be a way to rediscover pleasure and reconnect with a sense of embodiment. For people navigating post-op healing, this might help bridge the gap between recovery and pleasure. How effective are these toys, really? Here's where I have to give you the real talk: while red light therapy is well-documented for athletic recovery and anti-aging skincare, there are insufficient data to confirm benefits for sexual health specifically, Khalili admits, but says that researchers think that more research is needed, but so far results look promising. The effectiveness probably lies somewhere between revolutionary breakthrough and expensive placebo, with the truth being that consistent use over time is key, and red light devices are not overnight miracles, he says.Ott agrees, but says that although red light therapy sex toys are still so new and research on red light therapy for genital health is limited, in theory, they should be effective. How do they affect pleasure or sensation?Khalili explains that by improving blood flow to intimate areas, these toys can enhance natural arousal response and increase lubrication and sensitivity to touch which can make sex more pleasurable, but says that it's important to note that many of these devices also include vibration and other traditional pleasure features, so distinguishing between the effects of red light versus good old-fashioned vibration is challenging.Ott says these toys can increase sexual wellness for everyone, but can be especially helpful for those undoing hormonal changes or recovering from surgery. These toys may increase natural lubrication and make touch feel more comfortable. They're also designed to support sensation, which could help reduce that dull, numb feeling some people experience, especially after hormonal changes, trauma, or surgery, she reveals.Who should be using a red light therapy sex toy?The experts wouldnt recommend them to everyone across the board, but Ott says that if someone has done their research, feels aligned with the claims, and has the budget for it, then go for it! Its important to keep in mind that even if they do what they claim to, they arent magical overnight solutions. These toys are going to require consistency and patience. But for someone curious, patient, and committed, this could be a lovely addition to their intimate wellness practice.Khalili also cautions that if you have photosensitivity, active cancer, seizure disorders, or taking medications that increase light sensitivity, then you should probably steer clear. These devices represent an interesting intersection of wellness and pleasure, but they're definitely in the worth trying if you have the budget and realistic expectations category rather than the revolutionary game-changer category, he says. The science is promising but preliminary, and your money might be better spent on a really good vibrator plus a consultation with a pelvic floor physical therapist.Sources cited:Brionna Ott, a clinical sexologist and sex therapist.David R. Khalili, a licensed marriage and family therapist and board-certified sexologist.0 Comments 0 Shares 10 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.OUT.COMIs Conan Gray dating anyone? Here's what we know so farConan Gray is known for his emotional music about falling in love or love lost, leading many fans to wonder: who is he talking about? There's been speculation amongst fans on social media that Gray might be dating after he released the music video for his single, "This Song," last month, and with the music he's put out recently as he gears up to put out his fourth album, Wishbone, due out August 15, his fans suspect he may be catching feelings for a certain someone. In the video for "This Song," he and his co-star, My Life with the Walter Boys Corey Fogelmanis, share a tender romance throughout the video, and they make it very believable. This led many to question whether the two are actually dating, but that speculation quickly fizzled out.Fans may have been given a hint that Gray may be experiencing something very exciting because of the shift towards happier songs about love, and he may have shared a bit about this new phase of his life in the Instagram post to announce the album. He wrote a lengthy caption, sharing that he'd been secretly writing songs that he was unsure if he would ever release. "Over time, I began to feel something Id never felt before. I started to need the music," the caption reads. "i didnt know why i was recording, i just was. i didnt know what story i was telling, i was just living in it. slowly i started to see myself in full picture." See on Instagram It may be a clue into his personal life, but the 26-year-old singer is a private person, and he's never publicly confirmed that he was dating anyone. There's a good chance that may not be changing anytime soon.Back in 2020, he put out a statement on X and asked his fans not to dissect his music to try to connect the dots. "My personal life is not a fun scavenger hunt for y'all to figure out who I write my songs about," the post reads. "If I wanted you to know, I would tell you." See on Instagram This, however, does not mean that he's not afraid to kiss anyone publicly. At Governor's Ball back in June, Gray was brought out to be "Sally," where one of Role Model's famous friends gets asked to dance around while he sings his popular song, "Sally, When the Wine Runs Out." This time, though, Gray and Role Model shared a kiss on stage. For now, fans can continue to speculate whether or not Gray is dating anyone, but it seems like Gray is growing all the more likely to never kiss and tell.0 Comments 0 Shares 12 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.OUT.COM'Oh, Mary!' star Jinkx Monsoon comes out as pansexualBroadway sensation and RuPaul's Drag Race superstar Jinkx Monsoon has come out as pansexual during a new interview with Ziwe on the comedian's digital talk show You'd Be an Iconic Guest on YouTube.Halfway through the interview, Jinkx discussed how odd it is to be living your dream life as a stage actress and Broadway star in New York City while still having to put up with insults yelled out by strangers on the street."It's weird to leave my Broadway theater where I'm, like, on Broadway, right? and then I walk home where someone calls me [bleeped-out slur]," Jinkx explained, noting that the insults she's received from random people yelling in her direction can often feel confusing. What's worse, Jinkx teased, some of the insults don't even make sense at times."I'm clearly a straight woman," Jinkx said, instinctively, but quickly realized that she hadn't identified herself correctly. "Well, pansexual.""Pansexual!" Ziwe reacted.Jinkx replied, "Yeah, but I ain't no [bleeped-out slur]." (@) It didn't take long for clips of this moment to catch fire across social networks, prompting Jinkx to join the discourse:"Congratulations, I'm pansexual."Jinkx is currently rehearsing for Oh, Mary! and preparing to take over the role of Mary Todd Lincoln, which was originated by Tony Award-winning actor Cole Escola. After breaking records in Chicago, receiving a wave of critical acclaim as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, and originating the role of Ruth in a new production of Pirates! WWW.OUT.COMDemi Lovato's 10 best songs of all time, rankedDemi wants to go 'Fast,' and we're in.If there were a Mount Rushmore for Disney Channel stars, here's who that would include: Miley Cyrus (duh!), Selena Gomez, Raven-Symon, and of course, Demi Lovato. Each of these people/performers has done more for the Disney Channel brand than any other actor, but Lovato still managed to stand out from her starring role as Mitchie Torres in Camp Rock, to becoming an unshakable pop star, to navigating mental health issues in the public eye, to advocating for LGBTQ+ rights as an out gender fluid person. The reason Lovato has been able to stand the test of time is not only due to her vocal prowess, but also her ability to transform herself and take risks that pay off in the long run. On her debut album, Don't Forget, Lovato took the pop-punk route with tunes that expertly blended her formidable singing voice with catchy lyrics and a clean rock aesthetic. Over the years, she tried her hand at several different genres, including electro-pop, R&B, EDM, pure pop, and rock. This Friday, Lovato released a new song, "Fast," which already has fans calling it a new contender for song of the summer. It's been a long time coming in the lead-up to "Fast" her first song as a solo artist since dropping the tracks from 2022's HOLY FVCK. In honor of the new single, here's a definitive ranking of Lovato's best songs of all time.10. 'La La Land'Those who watched Disney Channel know that Lovato had pipes, but we rarely got to see them used in this way. She busted out a full belt on a rock song about working through body image issues as a teenager and the success of the song proved that it was the perfect mix of her staggeringly apt singing talents while speaking to issues that real teens were dealing with at the time (and even today).9. 'Skyscraper'"Skyscraper" is Lovato's earliest self-described "cry for help" song, which she'll go on to release more of. But in 2011, the pop star lifted the veil and told her fans that she wasn't okay. She'd opened up about dealing with addiction, eating disorders, and self-harming, the first time we've seen a child star of her caliber be so candid about fighting these battles. Lovato provided the self-empowerment ballad of the year with "Skyscraper," and her emotional delivery of the song, combined with her killer vocals, made this all the more powerful.8. 'Stone Cold'There are so few that depict the anguish of heartbreak and watching your lover move on, like Lovato does. Her audience responds to the heartbreaking ballads, where she paints a vivid picture of seeing someone date someone new. "Stone Cold" shows off her lower register as well as her ability to mix those gut-wrenching emotions into a poignant song. This song easily puts Lovato on the list of insanely talented balladeers.7. 'Two Pieces'"Two Pieces" is a propulsive track, where we see Lovato begging her lover to make things work on this pop-rock anthem. The song starts out with a drum and piano-assisted intro, which builds as she sets listeners into the song's setting. When the song hits the refrain and chorus, it explodes and it's filled with an electric guitar as she belts, "These dark clouds over me, rain down and roll away / We'll never fall apart, 'cause we fit together like / Two pieces of a broken heart."6. 'Cool for the Summer'I'll say it: Some of Lovato's down-the-middle pop music doesn't work for me. However, "Cool for the Summer" is a song in a lane all of it's own. This song is addictive, fresh, and grabs the listener by the collar of their shirt to take them on a ride they want to get on over and over. It's about letting go of your inhibitions, taking the dive into something exciting, and worrying about the repercussions later. It also combines all of the best parts of Lovato's talents, like her insanely skilled vocal agility and her chameleonic demeanor which she can switch up for whatever the song she's singing needs. Are the lyrics a bit odd? Well, yes. But does the production completely overshadow the lyrics so they don't really matter in the long run? Also yes!5. 'Happy Ending'There are many standout tracks from Lovato's 2022 project, HOLY FVCK, but I feel in my heart of hearts that "Happy Ending" is the most underrated track on the LP. In fact, she doesn't hold back in the slightest on this album, in a way that we haven't gotten from her in years prior. In this song, Lovato wonders: "Am I gonna die trying to find my happy ending?"Knowing that Lovato has battled mental health struggles, addiction, and self-harm, it's a breath of fresh air to hear her being this candid while sharing her side of the story. For instance, she addresses the pressures of being a public figure who is actively fighting addiction. "Sure, I'm sober now / And everybody's proud / But I miss my vices," she sings. "And I tried to be your hero / I lent you my voice / I was your poster child / It was working for a while / But it didn't fill the void."As her fellow Disney alum once said, "Nobody's perfect" and talking about it with such candor works leaps and bounds better than trying to smile through the pain.4. 'Substance'"Substance" followed "Skin of My Teeth," thus serving as the second single to HOLY FVCK. Those two songs gave fans a clear warning: This album was going to be a no-holds-barred, cathartic release for Lovato, returning to her pop-punk roots. The last time Lovato truly dabbled in the rock aesthetic was in her early solo music career days as she began to make a name for herself outside of Disney. The rock sound might be tangled up in her web of trauma with her teenage years, but Lovato took the opportunity by the horns and went full force with a song like "Substance." She looked back at her life, saw its most challenging moments, and decided to make lemonade out of lemons an album with substance.3. 'Here We Go Again'You don't have to be a 16-year-old girl to understand exactly what Lovato was going through when she sang "Here We Go Again." It's a perfect pop-rock song about wanting to forget about a guy (or person) who's done you wrong. She's not meek nor mousy. She roars over the blaring guitars and drums, wishing the guy the best but also wishing he would just get out of her life and out from under her skin."Here We Go Again" was the lead single off her second album, completely annihilating any predictions of a sophomore slump after the song hit No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.2. 'Anyone'On this track, we hear something that we don't usually get from the pop star: imperfectionnot only in the lyrical content, but in her vocal performance. Lovato has never sounded bad a day in her life, and this song is no different. But, as she's trying to keep it together and get through the song, you can hear her voice wavering, and she sounds like she's holding back tears as she unleashes this pent-up frustration and anger that she's dealt with while battling her inner demons."Anyone, please send me anyone," she cries out to God, hoping he's listening. "Lord, is there anyone? I need someone."Lovato's had a tumultuous battle with addiction and mental health struggles, and in 2018, she suffered a near-fatal overdose four days after she recorded the song. She took some time away from the spotlight, and her first public performance of this song was at the 2020 Grammy Awards. Everyone can see the cracks in the facade that she's been putting up for years.1. '29'Lovato is at her best when she's reflective because she's had to do it so much throughout her life. She's spoken about the mistreatment she's faced as a child, but rarely do we get something as shrewd and sharp as this."29" is an unflinching look at a long-term relationship with a man, where she talks about feeling like she was manipulated and groomed. The song finds her at the age of her alleged groomer, whom many speculated to be her ex-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama. The pair met when she was 17 and he was 29, but didn't publicly share that they were dating until she was 18.The lyrics pierce as Lovato looks back on the relationship, "Just five years a bleeder, student and a teacher / far from innocent, what the fuck's consent? / Numbers told you not to, but that didn't stop you," she sings through gritted teeth. "Finally 29 / funny just like you were at the time / Thought it was a teenage dream, just a fantasy / But was it yours, was it mine?" She sings as if she's digging the knife right through the perpetrator and digging it in deeper with each line.HOLY FVCK is her best album, lyrically and vocally, and you'd be hard pressed to find a song as devastating as this.0 Comments 0 Shares 14 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.OUT.COM'Together' director Michael Shanks breaks down gender-bending storylineEditor's note: This story contains major spoilers for Together, which is now playing in theaters.Romance, codependency, anxiety, and resentment are some of the relatable relationship themes explored in director Michael Shanks' Together a gnarly and outrageously wild body horror film about two people who are not only married, but also literally melding into each other, whether they like it or not.The film stars real-life husband and wife Dave Franco and Alison Brie as Tim and Millie, a couple who have found themselves at a crossroads as they struggle to navigate the boundaries of their 10-year-long relationship. From the film's opening scenes, it's pretty clear that there's tension bubbling underneath the facade of their seemingly happy existence. Millie is a teacher and the breadwinner of the relationship; Tim's a struggling musician who is coping with the recent death of his father. When Millie accepts a teaching job in the countryside, they decide on a fresh start and move out of the city, which means leaving their friends and family behind. And even though the move clearly hinders Tim's proximity to local music gigs, he goes along with it anyway, for the sake of the relationship he and Millie have built together.During Tim and Millie's first hike near their new home in the countryside, things take a twisted turn: They stumble into a mysterious cavern underneath a dilapidated church that looks like something right out of an H.P. Lovecraft novel. While trapped in the creepy cave for the night, they drink what appears to be water from a primordial pit. Soon after, their bodies become uncontrollably drawn together by inexplicable forces. The answer to the supernatural phenomenon taking place lies with Millie's neighbor and fellow teacher, a seemingly widowed gay man named Jamie (Damon Herriman). However, it turns out that Jamie isn't exactly widowed. His partner is still with him In a metaphysical sense. A home video showing one of the most bizarre gay weddings ever reveals two men with an uncanny resemblance to Jamie willingly becoming one" as they consume water from the same ancient pit during a cultish ritual. As Jamie warns of the grisly consequences of resisting this inevitable transformation, Millie and Tim are soon faced with an existential crisis: Do they sacrifice themselves or embrace their body-melding fate? Backed by the Spice Girls' "2 Become 1," the couple shares one last dance together, and it isn't hard to guess what happens next. Ultimately, let's just say that the final scene in Together will make you question which pronouns to use when describing the fate of Tim and Millie. There's certainly a lot to unpack in Together, and not all of the lore is fully explained. So, as you can imagine, we had a few burning questions for the director. During an exclusive interview, Shanks tells Out about designing the ambiguously gendered character (nicknamed by the crew as "Tillie"), opens up about the Plato's Symposium mythology that inspired the story being told, and whether Franco's genitals in that restroom stall sex scene were prosthetic or the real deal.Out: The script for Together not only draws from Greek mythology, but it also pulls from your own real-life relationship. Can you tell me a little bit about the epiphany that sparked you to combine all of it into a body horror film?Michael Shanks: It was the premise of the film that came to me first. I was thinking about how enmeshed my own life is with my partner. At the time of writing, we'd been together for about 10 years, and I was thinking about how intertwined we are. So I thought, what if there was a story about people who were so intertwined in their relationship that their bodies started to become kind of intertwined? And that was the jumping-off point for telling the story. And then whilst writing it, I was researching, like, has this ever been discussed before in myths or ancient text? And that was how I came across Plato's Symposium, where Plato kind of hypothesized that humans in their true form were born with four legs and four arms and a head with two faces, and that Zeus split us apart because of his jealousy of our power, dooming us to spend our lives looking for our soulmate. And I thought, wow, this is perfect, like I've got to put this in the film, it's amazing! You landed Dave Franco and Alison Brie as your lead stars, a real-life married couple. Were there any advantages because of that?We couldn't have done this without a married couple because the things that we were asking them to do were not only super emotionally vulnerable, but physically vulnerable, and physically intimate. We had days on set where they had to be kind of fully nude in front of the camera. We had days where they had to be joined via prosthetics. Like, to the point where if they needed to go to the bathroom, they needed to go to the bathroom in front of one another. And you could never ask actors to do that. But with Dave and Alison, they volunteered. They're like, "Yeah, we can do it. That's no problem." So yeah, it was perfect. You seem to lean more towards practical effects. Was it your goal to keep the CGI as subtle as possible?Absolutely. However, I love CGI as well as practical effects. So it was kind of a joy to do both. My background is as a VFX artist. So I did a lot of the VFX in the film myself, probably the more subtle stuff that you'd never notice. The bigger stuff was done by Framestore, an incredible visual effects house. But having practical effects throughout probably 80% of the effects gags in the film was amazing because we'd just be on set and you'd be shooting something in the morning like a dinner scene, and then by lunchtime the practical effects people would be wheeling in puppets, crazy prosthetics or a shoebox full of human genitals.Speaking of genitals and prosthetics, was that really Dave Franco's manhood we saw in that restroom stall sex scene?I think I can reveal that it was prosthetic, but that was such a crazy shot to bring up to the producers. Like, "Hey guys, we need to do this shot. Trust me, it's going to work. It's going to be great." We had such a limited prosthetics budget, and that was a shot that I added a little later. I was like, "Guys, we can't afford to add prosthetic genitals." And it just so happened that my partner at the time was the lead designer of a sex toy company, and she was like, "Oh, I've got a bunch of very realistic genitals, just lying around in a drawer in my home office." So, I just took one of those and gave it to the prosthetics guy, and he kind of painted it up. It became maybe my favorite shot in the film. There are some very heavy H.P. Lovecraft vibes in your film: The subterranean pit, the dilapidated church, the mysterious pool of water. Can we assume he was an influence?I think it was like 10 years ago that I borrowed Lovecraft's Necronomicon from a friend of mine and just read all those short stories. The subterranean pit is definitely this sort of supernatural, elder god-style thing I don't want to overly explain this. I just feel like this is something from the deep distant past. Something raw in the deep center of the earth. I feel like it's almost like a pustule from within the Earth's core that's just kind of bursted forth at some point in the distant past. And over the course of things, people have discovered it. And maybe there's other pools of water just like that from the same water source across the world. Lovecraft was definitely in my mind for that whole thing.I want to compliment you on how you handled the Jamie character played by Damon Herriman. The way you handle the reveal that he is gay is so natural. He's just this everyday teacher who just so happens to have a male partner.Thank you so much. That means a great deal. Even when I was writing stupid stuff back in Australia back in the day, I was always keen to write queer characters just as any other character that you would write who isn't queer because there is no difference between us, really.By including that character and that gay wedding scene where he and his male partner take that next metaphysical leap, it just implies that your interpretation of the Plato's Symposium myth about the split four-armed humans searching for their soulmate isn't solely restricted to a male and female, which was often the case if you look at ancient Greek art. That scene just shows that anyone, regardless of gender or sexual orientation, has a better half out there.Absolutely. It's just about finding the person that you love the most and committing to them fully. That's really what the film's about, no matter who you are.As for the big reveal about what happened to Jamie and his partner, is it fair to assume that they kind of became this immortal being that retains the memories and traits of both men in one single vessel? The state of the dilapidated church we see in the present day makes it seem like their wedding could've taken place decades prior.Oh, that's so interesting. That is not how I see that. But I love that interpretation. To me, it's always funny when people interpret things in a film and then the filmmaker comes out and says, "Actually, it means this." But in my head, that cave is a living entity in a way. I sort of thought of it as this primordial giant gut of the earth that is slowly digesting everything around it.So, in my head, it was the idea that the church above this pit was built kind of 20 years before we arrive at the film. And just slowly but surely, it is kind of swallowing it. And that's why by the time we get there, we have pews and sort of like weatherboards, elements of the church, like in the walls of the cave, but right up the top, the bell is still there because it was the highest point of the church. That gender-bending final scene in your film will certainly spark a lot of talk, so I have to ask about the fate of Tim and Millie. Are they an asexual being now? Hermaphroditic? Can they procreate? To me, the logic and specificity of their physicalization kind of falls away in that final scene. It is sort of just purely visually representing the metaphor of absolute cohesion. And, you know, that's the reason why we show that image and we cut to credits, because I think if you continued the film from that point on, it would just fall apart. So it's almost, to me Not in a comedy way, but it's almost kind of like a punchline, "Hey, this is what we've been building to for an hour and a half." And I didn't want to back away from showing the sort of logical conclusion. So it was like, "And here it is! OK, thanks. Roll credits. Hope you had a good time. Bye-bye."When I saw the fate of Tim and Millie, I found myself referring to the blend of the actors as "Alison Franco" or "Dave Brie," because you clearly created a mashup of the two. Can you chime in on how you went about nailing down the androgynous look of their fully fused character in that last shot? You know, you're calling it Alison Franco or whatever. Because the characters are named Tim and Millie, we referred to that character as Tillie. And our visual effects supervisor, Genevieve Camilleri, was on top of that process. So as soon as Dave and Alison arrived in Australia, she took photos of them both. And then on a computer I was saying like, "What would work best? Well, it's going to be Dave Franco's eyebrows, and we'll use Alison Brie's eyes But we'll make them Dave's color, because she's got blue eyes, and he's got brown eyes.We ended up doing some of it in makeup where it's Alison as the sort of base. And she's wearing makeup eyebrows that are like exact matches of Dave's and she's got contact lenses in. But then in VFX, we got Dave to recreate the scene as well. And then in VFX, we cut out Dave's nose and Dave's jaw and kind of stick that onto Alison. After a lot of testing, those were the elements that seemed kind of essential to both of them. I think we all thought that it's so cute. Like, I think they're adorable. I wish that was a real person, because I'd like to be friends with them.Together is now playing in theaters.0 Comments 0 Shares 14 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.OUT.COMMAGA playlists exposed and they're full of gay anthems and artistsBeing tone deaf and out of touch is sort of a hallmark of the Republican Party. That was made startlingly apparent on the Presidential campaign trail when President Donald Trump kept playing Bruce Springsteens anti-Vietnam War song Born in the U.S.A. and gay anthems Y.M.C.A. and Macho Man at rallies without any sense of irony or nod at the hypocrisy. But apparently this lack of music literacy and ease at letting their hypocrite flag fly trickles down from the top because Trump isnt the only homophobic, anti-trans Republican who likes to blast gay anthems.A website claiming to have accessed the Spotify listening habits of members of the Trump administration, democratic lawmakers, tech leaders, and journalists, and the results from conservatives on this so-called "Panama Playlist" will have you scratching your head. While its hard to verify how accurate the Panama Playlist website is, Wired confirmed that New York Times reporter Mike Isaacs list is accurate, and five other individuals on the list confirmed the accuracy of this list to The Verge, according to Wired. Which means that right-wing politicians like Ron DeSantis, Pam Bondi, and JD Vance all support policies that strip LGBTQ+ people of their human and legal rights while blasting queer anthems and music made by queer artists. You cant count on a lot in this life, but you can always count on extreme hypocrisy from the Republican Party.JD VanceVice President JD Vance, who opposed the Respect for Marriage Act, which sought to codify same-sex marriage equality, has been a vocal opponent of trans rights, including fighting to restrict gender-affirming care for minors, and he has consistently repeated anti-LGBTQ+ Republican talking points like calling queer people groomers. He also said Florida will not comply and he would fight back against the Biden administrations Title IX rules that provided protections for LGBTQ+ students and prohibited discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation. And when he was running in the Republican presidential primary, DeSantis campaign posted a homophobic video. In 2021, a sequel series, And Just Like That, premiered on HBO Max. Now, it seems the saga is over. (@) "And just like that the ongoing storytelling of the Sex and the City universe is coming to an end," King wrote in a social media statement. "While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop. Along with Sarah Jessica Parker, Casey Bloys, and Sarah Aubrey, we decided to end the popular series this year with a two-part finale and extended the original series order from 10 episodes to 12. SJP and I held off announcing the news until now because we didn't want the word 'final' to overshadow the fun of watching the season. It's with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years."See on InstagramSarah Jessica Parker, who starred in both series as Carrie Bradshaw, also made a statement on her Instagram, saying the show was "all joy, adventure, the greatest kind of hard work alongside the most extraordinary talent" and that she is "better for every single day" she spent with the people who made the show."She crossed streets, avenues, Rubicons, so it seemed. She typed, wondered, wrote, published, grieved, forgave, got stood up, stood strong, stood out.""Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte, there will never be better friends, and what great fortune for Carrie to come to know and love Seema and LTW, most divine new connections," the statement continues. "Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all. I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned, and rooted for her. The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion. WWW.OUT.COMDid Dave Franco's naked scenes in 'Together' use prosthetics? Director chimes inEditor's note: This story contains soft spoilers for Together, now playing in theaters.Dave Franco has a couple of naked scenes in Together, his latest film with costar and real-life wife Alison Brie. One particular scene in the movie shows Franco's penis on-screen, prompting the age-old question among online gays: Real or prosthetics?Sign up for the Out Newsletter to keep up with what's new in LGBTQ+ culture and entertainment delivered three times a week straight (well) to your inbox! While discussing the use of practical effects vs. CGI in the movie, Together writer and director Michael Shanks told Out in an exclusive interview that "having practical effects throughout probably 80 percent ofthe film was amazing." He added, "The practical effects people would be wheeling in puppets, crazy prosthetics, or a shoebox full of human genitals."Given that the conversation naturally progressed to the actors' use of prosthetics in comparison to parts of their bodies that were actually exposed Out's Gil Macias asked about one specific naked scene from Franco. Did the actor expose his penis, or was that also prosthetics?"I think I can reveal that it was prosthetic. But that was such a crazy shot to bring up to the producers," Shanks told Out in the interview. "We had such a limited prosthetics budget, and that was a shot that I added a little later. I was like, 'Guys, we can't afford to add prosthetic genitals.'"Thankfully, Shanks' then-partner used to work for a sex toy company and offered to give him a few ultra-realistic genitals that were "just lying around in a drawer in my home office." The filmmaker took the offer, and all it took was for the crew to paint over it (for color adjustment).Ultimately, Shanks recalled that this "became maybe my favorite shot in the film."Moviegoers who have seen Together in theaters have been slowly realizing that the film is actually much more queer-inclusive than one would expect. When asked about and praised for the way he introduced and a gay character (played by Damon Herriman) in the film, as well as a gay wedding between him and his partner, Shanks was taken aback with gratitude."Thank you so much. That means a great deal," Shanks replied. "Even when I was writing stupid stuff back in Australia back in the day, I was always keen to write queer characters just as any other character that you would write who isn't queer, because there is no difference between us, really."Out reporter Macias underscored how the inclusion of two gay men committing to each other and taking "that next metaphysical leap" also implied that the director's "interpretation of the Plato's Symposium myth about the split four-armed humans searching for their soulmate isn't solely restricted to a male and female.""Absolutely," Shanks agreed. "It's just about finding the person that you love the most and committing to them fully. That's really what the film's about, no matter who you are."Together is now playing in theaters.0 Comments 0 Shares 12 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.OUT.COMTeased, terrified, triumphant: The gay kid who became a room-changerI've been called a lot of things in my life: publicist, gossip columnist, TV host, and loud and fabulous (too much, not enough). But the one word that's shaped everything absolutely everything is "gay."For a long time, I thought it was the thing I had to hide. I felt it was a weakness and a problem to fix; a part of myself I should tone down or dress up depending on the room. I grew up in Birmingham, England, in a working-class family with very little money and even less tolerance for "difference."And baby, I was different.Today, I know better. Today, I know my gayness is not a curse or something to be locked in a closet. It's a crown. It's the reason I'm still standing. It's the engine behind every success, second chance, and reinvention. Being gay didn't just shape me it saved me.It's not my burden. It's my superpower.Being a gay kid in a tough neighborhood in the UK in the '80s was no picnic. I was teased, bullied, and often terrified. I knew I was different before I even had a word for it. And because the world didn't yet make room for boys like me, I made myself small.I kept secrets. I learned to read people the way some kids learn to read books: quickly and with absolute precision. I became adept at anticipating what others wanted to see and provided it to them. That's not just a coping mechanism. That's training to survive. But that pain that camouflage gave me something invaluable: empathy. A genuine understanding of what it means to feel invisible, unheard, unprotected. And that's what makes it a superpower: not the pain itself, but what you do with it.I brought my accent, ambition, and my secret weapon with me when I moved to New York. I worked in PR, eventually repping some of the biggest stars in the world, from Jennifer Lopez to Jessica Simpson and Naomi Campbell. I knew how to protect people because I'd protected myself for so long. I learned how to spin a story because I'd spun one about myself every day of my youth.I became a trusted fixer, confidant, and, most importantly, someone who could shift the energy in the room just by being present. That's not arrogance; it's instinct. It's the same instinct gay kids develop as teenagers to stay safe.I just turned it into a career.Eventually, I left PR and stepped into the spotlight. Hosting TV shows, writing columns, launching the Naughty But Nice with Rob podcast, and publishing my book, The 4 Word Answer. None of that would've happened if I had stayed afraid of who I was. Coming out didn't limit my life; it exploded open. Here's something I didn't understand when I was younger: joy is power. Queer joy, especially, is rebellious. It says, "I am who I am, and I will love, laugh, and live without shame." That scares people who live in fear. It threatens systems that are built on silence.Sometimes, just existing joyfully is the most radical thing you can do.When I came out, I lost some people. But I found better ones. Those who love me unconditionally, tell me the truth, and know how to throw a proper dinner party. Some of them are gay, some straight, some drag queens, some moguls. All of them are part of my chosen family I've built over the years.Chosen family is a gay superpower. It's resilience in human form. And every time someone tells me they feel seen or heard because of something I wrote, said, or wore on TV that's family too.Another superpower? Humor. Darling, I'm funny. And not just "haha" funny. I'm "take a tense room and turn it into a cocktail party" funny. That comes from pain, sure. But also from love. I don't use humor to deflect. I use it to connect. Being gay means growing up with a lot of material. From awkward coming-outs to ridiculous fashion faux pas, from heartbreak to hard-won victories. We've lived it all. And when we share it, we remind the world that being different isn't a tragedy. It's a triumph. We're living in a moment where LGBTQ+ rights are under attack again. Books are being banned, drag queens are vilified, and trans kids are targeted. It's tempting to get quiet and retreat. But I won't.I'm here, I'm visible, and I'm not going anywhere. Being gay isn't just my journey, but a public declaration that everyone deserves dignity, respect, and a place at the table. If my life story helps even one person feel less alone, that's more powerful than any cape or magic wand. So, if you're reading this and still struggling to accept who you are, hear me when I say this: You are not broken. You are not alone. You are not too much. You are powerful. And if you're gay, darling, you're superpowered.Voices is dedicated to featuring a wide range of inspiring personal stories and impactful opinions from the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. WWW.OUT.COMOne is straight. The other isgay. Together, these best friends are reimagining masculinityThey met in a Brooklyn theater nearly two decades ago an audition, a role, a spark of camaraderie. Jonathan Gregg was a fresh face in New York City, auditioning for a production of Six Degrees of Separation. Tom Felix was the director. The two hit it off immediately: witty banter, creative chemistry, and, yes, a little bit of undeniable mutual attraction.I thought he was super hot and just wanted to keep him around, Felix, who is gay, admits now, grinning, with Gregg, who is straight, laughing in the Zoom window beside him during their interview with The Advocate. But the friendship that followed, spanning city apartments, career pivots, marriages, late-night texts, vacations, and barbecues, grew into something beyond flirtation or creative synergy. It became family.Sunday, on International Friendship Day, theyre not just celebrating a nearly 20-year bond; theyre putting it under a mic. Their new podcast, No Homo with Jonathan and Tom, is a weekly riff on life, masculinity, queerness, parenting, politics, and everything in between. Two best friends, one straight, one gay, as they like to say, gassing each other up as the world burns.Behind the riffs and running gags is something quieter and more binding: a friendship thats teaching listeners how expansive masculinity can be.Related: L Word alums Leisha Hailey and Kate Moennig wrote the book on queer friendship...literallyOpposites, but alikeGregg, 43, lives in Queens with his wife and two young kids. He now works as director of operations for a spirits portfoliothink bourbon, vodka, rum, ready-to-drinks. Hes magnetic, unapologetic, and often the louder of the two. Hes also a popular social media influencer: 127,000 followers on TikTok, 140,000 on Instagram, and counting. See on Instagram Gregg grew up in northern Alabama, in what he calls a sheltered, conservative environment shaped by church life and Southern Baptist teachings. At the time, he considered his church progressive. His pastor had once refused to join a denomination-wide boycott of Disney over the companys perceived LGBTQ+ support. I thought of my church as a relatively progressive place, he said, though in hindsight, he recognizes how narrow that bar was. Still, the experience stuck with him. Why would you cut out something in your life because theyre being kind to a group of people? he asked. As he left Alabama, first for Nashville and then New York, the distance made clear how insular his upbringing had been and how much space there was to grow. Exposure is the antidote to hate and fear, he said. Knowing people, not being scared to know people, thats it.Felix, 46, is quieter and more careful. A former theater director and television development exec, he now works in corporate communications and lives nearby in Astoria with his fianc, Naquan, and their kittens, Fish and Chips. Hes the one who overthinks.Felix grew up in a working-class Catholic household in central Connecticut, where he says it took time to make peace with being gay. By junior year of high school, he had come out to himself. By senior year, he was quietly living a double life, closeted at school, where he was prom king and class president, but beginning to explore his sexuality through community theater. I was ready to be gay, he said. I just wasnt ready to mess with everything else.He waited until college to come out to others, on his very first night in New York, sitting in a diner with a group of fellow freshmen. When someone asked if he was gay, he set down his grilled cheese and said, for the first time out loud, Yes. Im gay. Coming out to family and hometown friends took longer. And the bullying he endured as a kid, taunts for doing theater, not playing sports, still lingers in memory. It was something I dealt with all through high school, he said. Both men exude strong daddy vibes, physically muscular, emotionally available, and unmistakably at ease in their own skin. Theyve shared bedrooms, wedding aisles, and dance floors. And when they hit the right party, Gregg sheds his shirt beside Felix in a sea of sweaty, writhing men. Hes come with me to a Rekt party or a Honey Dijon party, Felix says. I wouldnt necessarily call them circuit, but definitely like a gay tech house party.Their rhythms may differ, but the friendship is seamless. Felix officiated at Gregg's wedding. When Felix and Naquan get married next year, Gregg will return the favor.Weve had some really strange and exciting experiences together, Felix says. And I just think theres such a long history now I trust him completely.Asked if the relationship has ever crossed into romantic or sexual territory, both are disarmingly candid. Tom has made the most convincing arguments to be with a man Ive ever heard, Gregg jokes. But Im in a committed monogamous marriage. And Im straight. Tom knows that. And he respects it.Felix, without missing a beat: And Im still trying.Paint your nails, punch NazisTheir closeness has shaped Gregg's public persona, too. Through the Trump years, he coined a slogan, Paint Your Nails, Punch Nazis, that went viral and stuck. Now its on T-shirts, stickers, and plenty of merch. The phrase grew out of lived experience. Bullied as a kid, Gregg bulked up and leaned into hypermasculinity as protection. Later, when his son asked to paint his nails, Gregg painted his too and kept going. Tom Felix (left) and Jonathan Gregg at a costume party.Courtesy Jonathan Gregg & Tom Felix (provided)My wife and I always wanted to buck gender norms, he says. When our son was born, we made pink tank tops that said, Its a boy on the front, and Gender norms are for the weak on the back.It wasnt about rebellion. It was about modeling freedom. Even if my son never paints his nails again, Gregg says, hell remember that a masculine man in his life did. Thats powerful. He and Felix have made that kind of modeling part of the show, silly, serious, or somewhere in between.Building a friendship and a show while reclaiming "no homo"The podcast was years in the making. Theyd joked about it forever. But the 2024 election, and the political darkness that followed, finally gave them the push. I was just tired of screaming into my phone, Felix says. I wanted to use my voice for something more.So they hit record. Then they did it again. And again. The format is loose: a weekly check-in, some current events, a few personal revelations, and alwaysalwaysa vibe.No Homo launched in late June. New episodes drop every Thursday. As of this week, six have aired, and the show is already finding its footing. Last weekend, Felix was recognized for the first time at The Cock, the legendary gay bar on Manhattans Lower East Side. Are you the guy from the podcast? a man named Dan from Albuquerque, New Mexico, asked.Ill always have The Cock, Felix joked on the show.Dan also passed on a compliment for Gregg: If you flutter your eyelashes fast enough, he thinks you just might float away. Before they ever pressed record, the name sparked debate. No Homo was originally coined as a reflexive disclaimer, a way for straight men to distance themselves from anything that might be perceived as gay. The phrase exploded in the 1990s and early 2000s hip-hop, where artists used it to assert dominance, affirm heterosexuality, or preempt ridicule after saying anything remotely affectionate. It was defensive, insecure, and often deeply homophobic.Gregg and Felix know all that. And they named their show No Homo anyway. We wanted to hold a mirror to the absurdity of it, Felix says. The phrase itself is so rooted in anxiety, about gender, about orientation, about being perceived. And we wanted to flip it.Its the dumbest, most hilarious thing straight men ever came up with, Gregg adds. And now here we are, one straight, one gay, saying, yeah, no homo, and also all the homo. Deal with it.The title is provocative by design. But its not empty provocation. Its about subversion, about confronting cultural discomfort with male closeness. By reclaiming the phrase, theyre turning its original anxiety on its head, and replacing it with something grounded, funny, and emotionally honest. Were in on the joke, Felix says. But were also dead serious about it. Jonathan Gregg (left) and Tom Felix.Courtesy Jonathan Gregg & Tom Felix (provided)In the sixth episode, Gregg shared a message from a listener, what he jokingly called a no-homer slash bromo, whod reached out to a gay friend after hearing their ongoing conversations about friendship and flirtation. The straight man asked: Do you find me attractive? The friend said yes, but explained that because the man was married, he hadnt said anything before. It made him feel really good, Gregg said. And frankly, its kind of always been in the back of my mind thats the best service we can offer from this podcast. There is a male loneliness epidemic in the country, he added. Theres a void of love from menhow they experience it, how they accept it, how they show it. And Im telling you, there would be less of a loneliness issue if you just make some gay friends and let em flirt with you. Its the best youre ever going to feel.A May 2025 Gallup poll found that 25 percent of American men ages 15 to 34 reported feeling lonely a lot of the previous day, more than young men in 35 other high-income democratic countries. In the U.S., young men are significantly lonelier than both young women and older adults. Experts link the crisis to long-standing cultural norms that discourage boys from expressing vulnerability, often leaving them emotionally isolated. There are some ways to feel a little better, Felix added.Gregg didnt miss a beat: If you and your gay friend decide you want to go down that path, thats totally cool too. And if you dont, then take the flirting, take the compliments, take the gas up, and know that theyll probably give you a really good blowjob if you want it.I did try to grab his dick on my 30th birthday, Felix admitted in his Advocate interview. Thats true. But I was being a real tease, Gregg chimed in. So even I can forgive that one.But was it no homo or was it homo?Yeah, it was no homo, Gregg said. It mightve been after the fact. It might have no homoed after the fact.Gregg and Felix arent trying to be icons. Theyre just trying to be honest. To show what friendship can look like when men stop fearing softness, stop fearing each other. If more straight men had gay best friends, Gregg says, the world would be a better place. Period.Hes not wrong. Happy International Friendship Day.Catch No Homo with Jonathan and Tom below. - YouTube youtu.be0 Comments 0 Shares 3 Views 0 Reviews

She tells the publication that the new album probably won't come for "another five years" because her second project "doesn't exist yet.""It took me five years to write the first one, and its probably going to take at least five to write the next," she explained to Vogue. "Im not that type of writer that can pump it out.Roan says that she feels the songwriting process is much easier when she doesn't force it and mentions the social media chatter about her perceived lack of spending enough time in the studio. "I see some comments sometimes, like, Shes everywhere except that damn studio, she said. Even if I was in the studio 12 hours a day, every single day, that does not mean that you would get an album any faster. How long has Chappell Roan been working on her new album?Music producer Dan Nigro told The New York Times on October 21 that he had been working with Roan on her second studio album since July 2024.So, while still promoting The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, climbing the music charts, and breaking records at mainstream music festivals, Roan was already putting in the work on her upcoming album. Is 'The Giver' going to be on Chappell Roan's second album? The short answer: yes!In the same aforementioned NYT interview, Dan Nigro, did say that the singer's next album features a "fun, up-tempo country song" that had "a fiddle." He also mentioned that this song would show fans "a new version of Chappell."The long answer: an album's track list is always subject to change. In November, Roan performed "The Giver" on Saturday Night Live for the first time and the performance was scrubbed from the internet until March, when she finally released the song. Which other songs will be on Chappell Roan's sophomore album?Nigro told NYT that he's worked on five new tracks for this upcoming album, which Roan herself later confirmed in a cover story for Rolling Stone. It's likely that "The Subway," which she released last Friday after debuting it at Governor's Ball in New York City in June 2024, will also be on the album. The other songs that Nigro and Roan have worked on together were described as "a couple of ballads and a mid-tempo rock song."Fans may have also gotten a sneak peek at what else could be released in the lyric video for "The Giver." It includes VHS main menu with other tracks titled To Be Yours and Read & Make Out.A Billboard report from October 29 suggested that Roan's next album had a song titled "She Gets the Job Done." But following her SNL performance, we now know that those words are just lyrics in "The Giver," not an entirely other song. When is Chappell Roan's new album coming out?Chappell Roan's upcoming sophomore studio album was expected to be released in 2025. However, there's still no actual release date not even a time window! set for the new project. With this new Vogue interview, it seems like the album won't be coming until 2030 at the earliest.Looking back, Roan's 2017 EP School Nights and 2023 debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess were both released in the month of September. On the other hand, there's a certain expectation that CR2 will drop earlier than that in 2025.Out will keep you informed with the latest news and updates on Chappell Roan's new album, so stay tuned!Sign up for the Out Newsletter to keep up with what's new in LGBTQ+ culture and entertainment delivered three times a week straight (well) to your inbox!0 Comments 0 Shares 3 Views 0 Reviews

Grok answered, The visible outline in Elijah Arroyos groin area is likely just his anatomy, accentuated by the tight shorts. Thats the awkward detail driving the videos virality. (@) While some people had to wipe the drool off their chins others accused the NFL of staging thirst traps. (@) Obsessed or not, Arroyo also has a job to do moving forward into the season. On Thursday, August 7, the Seahawks will begin their preseason slate against the Las Vegas Raiders. The match also features the new Las Vegas head coach, Pete Carroll, as well as former Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith. If Arroyos preseason performance matches the stats fans are already assigning him, Seattle just drafted a weapon no defense can cover. A special heartfelt thank you to the LGBTQ+ community for your ongoing support," the singer wrote on X/Twitter. "I will always be there for you. Love, MC." In another post on Instagram, Carey called the event an "unforgettable night." Earlier this year, the "Protect the dolls" T-shirt campaign went viral, with celebrities wearing the statement shirt around the globe at various events and performances. All proceeds are being donated to Trans Lifeline, a non-profit organization that offers peer support, direct aid, a crisis hotline, and resources meant to uplift transgender people. After being worn by Troye Sivan, Pedro Pascal, and Haider Ackermann, the Conner Ives T-shirt raised $70,000 in pre-sale purchases alone. Meanwhile, Carey is gearing up to release her 16th studio album, Here For It All, which is currently scheduled for September 26. The 11-track album features two singles that are already available: "Type Dangerous" and "Sugar Sweet" featuring Shenseea and queer R&B star Kehlani. WWW.OUT.COMTikToker accused of putting her 'KSI Labubu' in blackface, explainedLabubus are the latest obsession for people who enjoy collecting miniature figurines or cute stuffed animals, and their popularity stems from the fact that they are incredibly hard to get, especially rare ones.Poking fun at this craze, a TikTok user named Lily Feltham (@lizbullzofficial) recently went viral after claiming she owned a "24 karat Labubu," among other over-the-top variations. (Acknowledging the doll's queer fandom, she once used a "metal detector" with a Grindr notification sound to show disbelieving commenters that her Labubu was made of gold.)Now, Feltham found herself in the middle of controversy over the weekend after going a Labubu too far. The influencer made a doll modeled after a popular Black YouTuber, boxer, and musician named KSI and social media users accused her of blackface. @naughtibellaa @The Jungle Pups you deleted the video fast but those of us who knew it was wrong are faster. there goes your 15 mins of fame#racist #thejunglepups #24kgoldlabubu #foryou "I'm the owner of the world's first KSI Labubu," Feltham says, holding up the doll with a face covered in black Sharpie and wrapped in a bandana. She goes on to say that she has been a fan of Sidemen for years, a popular group of men on YouTube (which KSI is a member of) who have over 22 million subscribers on their channel. In the vid, Feltham claims she paid 100,000 for it. The backlash was quick. Feltham deleted the video soon after posting, but not before some had downloaded the clip and reshared it.Feltham subsequently uploaded a video to TikTok over the weekend to apologize and take accountability for the offensive post. "In no way, shape or form did I intend for that video to be racist or against anyone," the TikToker explained. @lilzbullzofficial Im sorry to every person I have offended it wasnt in my plans to do that Feltham goes on to say that she makes Labubus based on suggestions in the comments, and a commenter suggested she create a KSI Labubu. "Obviously, we're all humans and we're all on the same planet, so my intention was not for it to come across as racist at all... My idea was to make all of the Sidemen and make some funny videos... Obviously, now I learned my lesson that I can't do that, and a lot of people have said it is racist, whether you didn't think it was or not, so I will take accountability on that and say sorry to anyone I have offended."The comments on this video were mostly critical, asking her what her thought process was for making this Labubu in the first place and saying she is old enough to know better. "You didn't have any brown markers?" one person asked. Another commenter replied, "Girl, you made the Labubu black. Not black as in dark brown skin to be racially black. You made it PITCH black..." However, some argued the comments section was being a bit too harsh: "She did something wrong, took accountability, and apologized, what more do you people want from her?"Labubus are small plushies that resemble creatures with triangular teeth, grinning ear-to-ear in furry onesies. These dolls are so much of a phenomenon that Pop Mart, the Chinese company that sells them, reported that the sales for Labubus spiked over 700 percent in 2024. (Pop Mart began distribution in 2019.) A lot of the increased revenue comes from the toys being sold in a blind box, meaning the dolls are random, and fans continue to buy them until they find the one they want. There's also a competitive resale market that is driving the prices of Labubus up.Since this scandal, Feltham has tried to post through the controversy and continue with her content, but each post sparks a new wave of negative comments.0 Comments 0 Shares 3 Views 0 Reviews
