Are there Page & Group Guidelines?
Groups are the heartbeat of Queerlinq, and group leaders play a big role in making sure everyone feels welcome, safe, and celebrated. These guidelines are here to support you in creating positive spaces where people can connect, share, and thrive. Remember, all participation on Queerlinq is guided by our Legal & Privacy Policies.
Starting a Group or Page
See a need, fill a need! If you have an idea, can’t find a space that speaks to you, or want to promote your business, event, or organization—go ahead and create your own group. Every new idea adds something valuable to our community.
Nurture Your Group
The most rewarding part is watching your group grow. A little love and consistency go a long way!
- Choose a welcoming name that clearly reflects your group’s vibe.
- Write a thoughtful description so people know what to expect.
- Spark conversations often—fresh discussions keep members engaged.
- Spread the word—invite friends, allies, and like-minded folks.
- Be yourself—authenticity and joy make groups shine.
Community Guidelines for Groups & Pages
To keep Queerlinq safe and inclusive, please follow these baseline rules:
- Be Respectful – Treat everyone with kindness and empathy. No hate speech, bullying, or harassment.
- No Spam or Excessive Promotion – Keep posts meaningful and relevant.
- Stay On-Topic – Center conversations around the group’s purpose.
- Share Responsibly – Avoid misinformation; check your sources.
- Keep It Appropriate – No nudity, graphic violence, or offensive material.
- Respect Privacy – Never share personal details or private conversations without permission.
- Follow Platform Guidelines – Community rules apply everywhere.
- Moderators’ Role – Group admins may remove content or members if needed to protect the space.
- Report, Don’t Escalate – If you see an issue, flag it to admins instead of arguing.
- Contribute Positively – Support healthy, meaningful dialogue and have fun!
Finding Good Moderators
Look for people who share your vision and values, contribute regularly, and want to help the group thrive. You can always add or remove moderators as needed—it’s all about building a supportive team.
Content Boundaries
We’re open-minded, but certain content is never okay here. For legal reasons (and due to financial regulations), you can’t post:
- Pornographic content or nudity
- Graphic violence or abuse (including against animals)
As a group leader, you can set additional guidelines as long as they align with platform-wide policies. If content ever has to be removed, we’ll notify you and explain why.
Protecting the Community
Healthy debate is welcome, but personal attacks or harmful behavior aren’t. Please step in quickly if discussions turn into:
- Aggressive insults
- Harassment or trolling
- Slurs, bullying, or discriminatory remarks
If someone repeatedly causes harm, it’s okay to ban them to protect the group.
Moderation Tips
When moderating, you might:
- Remove inappropriate content (and kindly explain why to the poster).
- Close or pause discussions to let people cool off.
- Ban repeat offenders if needed, and let us know at report@queerlinq.comso we can support you.
Handling Reports
Members are encouraged to reach out to you first if an issue arises. If a report comes directly to us, we’ll investigate and let you know if we take action in your group. For routine spam or cross-posting removals, we may not notify you.
Inactive Group Owners
Life happens! If a group leader becomes inactive and it affects the group, we may help find a replacement to keep things running smoothly. Ideally, you’ll choose someone yourself when stepping back.
