WWW.PRIDE.COMThese 21 rare photos of a gay motorcycle club will forever shift the way you see 1962The guys are kicking it up at the Satyrs and Oedipus Spring Poker Run and Field Meet in May of 1962.Satyrs MC Archives is the largest collection of gay motorcycle historical documents, photographs, film, video, and club memorabilia of the oldest gay organization in the world. All items displayed are copyrighted & displayed for educational purposes only. Thanks to Garry Bowie for letting us run these photos that bring back what leather used to be in the middle of the last century. Looks like fun.The Satyrs Motorcycle Club of Los Angeles is the oldest running gay men's motorcycle club and organization in the world. Formed in 1954 during the height of the McCarthy era, seven men came together, bonded by the love of the motorcycle, to form a club. It was not an easy time in America for gay men to congregate with fellow gay men. Homosexuals were deemed as deviants and undesirables in society. The Satyrs was not the first gay and lesbian organization; that was the Mattachine Society, formed in 1950. But the Mattachine Society had a Communist "cell structure" and drew the spying interest of J. Edgar Hoover who was focused on getting, founder, Harry Hay. Plus, Senator Joe McCarthy's hunt for "un-American activities and communism, along with internal fighting, caused the Mattachine to shut down by 1953. They reorganized again three years later with a few rough starts as the One Society. Today, they are known as the One Archives Foundation at the USC Libraries, a respected national repository of LGBT history. The Satyrs are currently preserving the club's archives to be entrusted in the near future at the One Archives Foundation for public and academic studies.Find them on Facebook. For more about the history of the Satyr's motorcycle club and to view more images, visit the Satyrs MC Archives on Facebook. For more about the history of the Satyr's motorcycle club and to view more images, visit the Satyrs MC Archives on Facebook. For more about the history of the Satyr's motorcycle club and to view more images, visit the Satyrs MC Archives on Facebook. For more about the history of the Satyr's motorcycle club and to view more images, visit the Satyrs MC Archives on Facebook. For more about the history of the Satyr's motorcycle club and to view more images, visit the Satyrs MC Archives on Facebook.0 Comments 0 Shares 127 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.PRIDE.COMTariffs will put hair on your chest! Fox News' 'manly' defense of the Trump policy is bizarreAmid a crashing stock market, 401(k) plans tanking, and the looming threat of higher inflation and a second bite at the Great Depression apple, Fox News is trying its best to spin President Donald Trumps new tariffs into a positive, but their most recent attempt is so out there that the internet has been roasting them nonstop. In a bizarre Hail Mary to convince MAGA supporters that tariffs are a good thing, Fox News hosts and pundits flooded the network with claims that Trumps tariffs will turn men into real men again. On Fox News The Five, Greg Gutfeld asked, "Could Trump's tariffs be the ultimate testosterone boost? Fox News host Jesse Watters, who has called everything from grocery shopping to eating soup in public feminine and that a man who votes Democrat transitions into a woman, told viewers that men who work in factories are real men because when you sit behind a screen all day, it makes you a woman. Studies have shown this, Salon reports. (@) Columnist and self-proclaimed MAGA leftist Batya Ungar-Sargon claimed on Fox News that Trumps trade policies will fix the crisis of masculinity stemming from the loss of manual labor jobs in America, according to the Independent. The logic goes that with sky-high tariffs, manufacturing will come back to the United States (it wont) and men will start working in physically demanding factory jobs which in turn will make them extra manly.During these segments the ham-fisted chyrons reading, Trumps tariffs will make you a man? and Trumps manly tariffs have the internet dunking on Trump and the MAGA-obsessed Fox hosts. From someone on X (formerly Twitter) writing, "Crashing the world economy to prove we're not gay" to someone else posting that real manly tariffs would place tariffs on Viagra and Axe Body Spray to another person calling Fox News caveman tier f*ckwits, the jokes are coming in fast and furious. Even Jeopardy! host Ken Jennings called out the ridiculous argument. "Men will literally start a trade war with every other nation on earth instead of going to therapy, he wrote on Bluesky. Keep scrolling to see the funniest reactions to Fox News latest attempt to excuse Trumps terrible policies!"Men will literally start a trade war with every other nation on earth instead of going to therapy." (@) ""Fox News said Trump's tariffs are *manly*." (@) "Real manly tariffs would be tariffs on Viagara and on Axe." (@) "So will trump's manly tariffs start turning women into men?????????" (@) "'Manly tariffs' - were at the point where they think having money is gay or something these people are just caveman tier f**kwits." (@) "Why didn't I think of this? I'm ASHAMED of myself! The tariffs are VERY, VERY MANLY! Thank you for giving us REAL news, FOX!" (@) "The most beautiful and most manly tariffs you've ever seen..." (@) "'Manly Tariffs' is the name of my Manly Wade Wellman inspired neofolk band. Were accordion heavy and talk a lot about the silver standard." (@) "Come on, man. The word 'tariff' alone might be the least manly in public policy. (Sometimes it feels like we're living through a satirical Robocop media montage.)" (@) "Trump's America is a great land of beautiful beef, manly tariffs and broken economy" (@) "Tariffs are so manly" (@) "Two bros, chilling in the Dow Jones. Five percent down cos they're not gay?" (@) "Remember, tariffs are manly. Free trade is for soyboy incels." (@) "The latest pitch to MAGA morons in an attempt to defend the tariffs that are cancelling our economy is that tariffs are 'manly' and will restore 'masculinity'--likely because they'll force us all to become Mad Max, foraging for grubs and eating squirrels like pioneer cavemen." (@) Watters: "If you're against Trump's manly big balls tariffs, it means you're a little girl. And by 'a little girl,' I mean 'gay.' " Is this guy like 11 years old? Is he 9? And why didn't his mother drown him at birth? (@) "At last, the crisis in masculinity is addressed. Through manly tariffs." (@) "Hahahahaha here it is! The tariffs are 'manly.' wtf. This is so bananas." (@) "'Manly tariffs'. I prefer woke trade." (@) "Manly tariffs:..... Boy, masculinity must be incredibly weak for it to be able to be manipulated so easily by con artists like this."0 Comments 0 Shares 124 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.PRIDE.COM'White Lotus' actor Jon Gries on the gayness of Greg HuntGreg Hunt married Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge) after season 1; seemed to have a gay lover, Quentin (Tom Hollander), in season 2; and had a cuckold fantasy with Chloe (Charlotte Le Bon) in season 3. But the question remains: Does Jon Gries's character on The White Lotus identify as gay, bi, queer, or straight? When asked if Greg's "cuckold fantasy" in season 3 impacted Gries's understanding of the character, the actor told Variety: "I helped a lot. As they say, it's not so much what your character says, it's what other people say about your character that informs who that person is.""I recognized that Greg has no interest in having friendships. Everything was on a contract basis," Gries continued. "It was easier to have control of those relationships, as opposed to being beholden out of love or loyalty, or any of those things. He's living a detached life."See on InstagramVariety's Ethan Shanfeld also asked Gries about the parallels between Chloe disclosing Greg's fetish and another character, Frank (Sam Rockwell), just flat-out revealing his sexual escapades with Asian sex workers."Mike White is so brilliant," Gries replied. "There's also the scene where Chloe comes back from the Full Moon Party and tries to lie to me [about sleeping with the brothers], which is so stupid because I have a crew that's running the boat. Obviously, they told me everything that was going on."Gries added, "Greg crosses every 'T' and dots every 'I' in that regard. So, he decides to change gears and say, 'Have him over. I want him over.' At the same time, he's also saying, 'I need you to help me with something, because I've got Plan A, and if that doesn't work I've got Plan B.'"HBO's The White Lotus season 3 is now streaming on Max.0 Comments 0 Shares 110 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.PRIDE.COM'Survivor' star Teeny Chirichillo comes out as trans in candid new essayIn a revealing new essay, Survivor star Teeny Chirichillo just came out as transgender. On Wednesday, the Survivor 47 contestant got candid in a personal essay for Cosmopolitan where he talked about struggling with his identity. The state of my life since Survivor has been full of uncertainty, he wrote for Cosmopolitan, per Page Six. Chirichillo opened up about how much he struggled after the end of his Survivor season and how that played into discovering his own transness. I didnt come back to a spouse or a full-time career, like many of my castmates did, he said. I didnt have a passion to replace the 15-year quest that was getting cast. When I think about my future, theres a lot of blurriness. But theres a lifelong accumulation of artifacts that has pulled my identity into focus, inside the museum of my own transness. The 24-year-old reality TV star already identified an nonbinary while competing on Survivor and had to deal with invasive comments about his pronouns.See on InstagramI waded through debates over my pronouns, whether I would count as a girl or a boy or both or neither, if I had a penis, and (my personal favorite) if I had tboy swag or nonbinary tea, he said. Chirichillo admitted he wasnt ready to come out as trans while competing on the CBS reality show, especially considering its a game of social politics. He went by she/her at the time before later using they/them pronouns, and Chirichillo worried that his fellow Survivor stars would panic about messing up his pronouns. Its an error almost unavoidable for those still learning, he wrote. While on the show, Chirichillo opened up about getting a top surgery consultation right before the start of Survivor. I joked with my cast that I was giving my boobs one last treat before I put them down by wearing a sports bra instead of a binder for the first time in nearly two years. Chest binding on a deserted island for 25 days is a no-go, he said. But it wasnt until the season ended and Chirichillo came back home to New Jersey, that he began to question his nonbinary identity and came to the conclusion that he had been a closeted trans guy.He continued, Even in knowing this, in writing this, there is a part of my brain that cant shut off.Chirichillo also admitted that he wonders whether his parents, grandmother and girlfriend feel about him coming out as trans. I dont expect everyone to reach the same level of ease with my gender that Ive arrived at after a lifetime of suppressing and then exploring the boyhood in my soul, he wrote. But I know who I am.0 Comments 0 Shares 124 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.PRIDE.COMBobby Berk reveals his favorite part about being gay: 'The sex!'Well, that was frank! One of the many reasons fans fell in love with Bobby Berk during his time on Queer Eye was because he was always unapologetically himself. While attending the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, the talented interior designer had no problem being completely honest when he was asked to reveal his favorite part about being queer."The sex! That, and the way our community loves and supports each other," he laughs. "Our community allows each and every one of us to be an individual and to be our unique selves." See on Instagram Berk continued to praise the LGBTQ+ community for showcasing fervent Pride and embracing all walks of life despite the ongoing challenges facing queer people today."We are such a diverse community race-wise, gender-wise, fashion-wise, everything. A lot of other communities straight people are the same often. Our community embraces you for being whoever the hell you want to be on every end of the spectrum."The love felt within the LGBTQ+ community also extends to allies and beyond as Berk was quick to point out the inclusive nature that defines queer events and clubs."Straight people always say how when they go to gay clubs, 'I've never felt more accepted and loved than when I do when I go to a gay club.' WWW.UNCLOSETEDMEDIA.COMAs NFLer Launches LGBTQ-Friendly Youth Camp, There's an Urgent Need For (Way) More Allyship in Mens SportsSubscribe nowOn March 27, NFL defensive tackle Khalen Saunders announced that hed welcome LGBTQ youth to his football camp this summer."Being in the NFL is very male-dominant and heterosexual dominant and it feels as though there's not really a space for the LGBTQ community," Saunders told the NFL network. "Being an ally is more than just saying I support. It's also showing up."Of the roughly 3,600 players currently competing in the NHL, NFL, MLB and NBA, zero of them are openly gay or bisexual. Literally none! While this number is likely astounding for many, it doesnt surprise me.In middle school, I was pretty damn good at tennis and basketball and had to choose which one to take more seriously.I chose tennis for various reasons that had nothing to do with being a closeted tween. But the decision was made in part because of the fear of having to deal with the homophobia in locker rooms, with the homoerotic culture that was so funny until it became actually gay and with the lack of coaches and teammates in the basketball arena who created a climate that made me feel confident being out on the court. So I went all in on tennis and was eventually ranked in the top five in Ontario, Canada, for Boys Under 18 singles. After coming out at 16, I appreciated that there were no locker rooms, that you trained with girls (which undoubtedly contributed to less bro culture and less misogyny) and that I was lucky to have coaches and people I trained with who were decent and who I could just tell were allies (thank you Toronto Tennis Academy and Davisville Tennis Club!).I took my SATs, and my parents hired an agency to help market me to U.S. teams with dreams of playing in the NCAA. I remember being offered a scholarship to a college in Tennessee and having a phone call with the coach. I told her I was gay and wanted to make sure she and her team were okay with that. What followed was an awkward pause where I thought the call had dropped. Oh, she said in a Parker Posey in White Lotus Southern drawl. We dont have much of that here.I wound up staying in Canada and playing for McGill Universitys team for a year before dropping it to party and study for the rest of my undergrad.I think about all the young boys in America being pushed away from sports or disincentivized to compete because of the lack of representation. Because of the fear of homophobia and getting bullied in the locker room. Because of all the little, insidious things straight players never have to think about that dissuade gay kids from trying out for the school football team or registering for hockey camp. With nearly 30% of Gen Z adults identifying as LGBTQ, think about the talent pool being wasted because professional leagues arent creating a climate where gay boys feel safe to play.Im so tired of hearing that we need to do better. What we need is more alliesparticularly straight guys like Khalen Saundersshowing up for the LGBTQ community. Like way more.In addition, the NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB need to have a bigger, systematic conversation about whyin 2025they have zero gay and bi players. Until this happens, the talent drain and missed opportunities in mens pro sports will continue to be innumerable.Subscribe for LGBTQ-focused, accountability journalism. WWW.PRIDE.COMThis Tennessee pastor fears 'gay beam' airport scanners might turn him into a hot gay daddy bearA Christian nationalist pastor in Tennessee revealed that he refuses to pass through "gay beam" airport scanners because he fears they will make him gay.Pastor Andrew Isker, who appears not to realize his bear status within the LGBTQ+ community, made the claim on a recent episode of the Contra Mundum podcast he cohosts with fellow Christian nationalist C. Jay Engel. A clip of the podcast was posted to social media by investigative journalist Phil Williams.Where was the Constitution when the Patriot Act was passed?" Isker says in the podcast. Right? Give me a break. Like, I had to be molested at the airport to go to Florida, right, just to get on an airplane, just because Im not going to go through the gay beam machine. I didn't let C. Jay do it. I wouldn't let him do it. I said, 'You're getting patted down, too, buddy. I don't want them turning you gay.'But Isker was not finished. It appears having a guy touch you all over the place, is on its face, seems worse, but you don't really know whats going, what those things are doing to you," Isker continues after he was momentarily rendered speechless by his own words.Or where the imaging goes or what theyre, what theyre doing in the back room, Engels adds.Yeah, they can just take a picture of me naked? Isker concludes. Like, no.A virtual adrenochrome system back there? Engels asks, referring to a right-wing conspiracy theory that claims leftist celebrities and politicians torture children to produce a chemical compound that is subsequently taken from the murdered children to prolong their own lives.Yeah, maybe, Isker agrees. (@) Isker, the author of The Boniface Option: A Strategy For Christian Counteroffensive in a Post-Christian Nation, is part of an effort to create a Christian nationalist community in eastern Tennessee. The proposed community and the views they hold were too much for the Appalachian area. Citizens strongly expressed their opposition to the plans at a town hall meeting last November, local CBS affiliate WTVF reports.Theyre a wolf in sheep's clothing, an unidentified woman called out during the meeting. This town is not for them, Barry Naff, a local business owner, agreed.0 Comments 0 Shares 127 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.PRIDE.COMPete Buttigieg destroys Trump on tariff chaos but can we please talk about this daddy beard?Pete Buttigieg may have left the Cabinet and grown a little scruff but he hasnt lost his edge.Appearing this week on The Weekly Show with Jon Stewart podcast released Thursday, the former transportation secretary now a private citizen, dad wrangling twin toddlers, and part-time policy professor spoke with the kind of candor rarely possible from the Cabinet room.Sign up for the PRIDE.com Newsletter to get a candid take on whats fresh and fun in LGBTQ+ culture this week!Beard first, though.Pete, look at you with the scruff, Stewart teased as Buttigieg appeared on screen. Youre not working for a month or two, and youre growing out the beard now. @weeklyshowpodcast They dont view an honest discussion of policy as something they need to slow down and do. Were digging into the Trump teams logic, or lack-there-of, with @Pete Buttigieg. #TheWeeklyShow #politics You started it, Buttigieg quipped, noting it was rare in his Cabinet days to go more than a day without shaving. After a family vacation with husband Chasten and their three-and-a-half-year-old twins, he decided to let it grow at least for now.But what Buttigieg wanted to talk about wasnt facial hair it was President Donald Trumps economic wrecking ball and what its doing to ordinary peoples lives. On Trumps tariff shock: That actually mattersButtigieg blasted Trumps recent tariff chaos a jarring series of moves that sent markets plunging, only for Trump to later pause many of the tariffs after already setting the global economy on edge.I grew up in northern Indiana. I live in Michigan. I get what the wrong kind of trade has done to the industrial Midwest, Buttigieg said. But tariffs are supposed to be a tool... in order to get some kind of advantage for the people you serve. This is not that.Referencing recent reporting that conservative think tanks had found basic math errors in Trumps tariff calculations, Buttigieg added, That actually matters when trillions of dollars depend on, first of all, what you do and secondly, how you do it.For Buttigieg, this isnt academic. He warned the stakes are real for everyday Americans not just stock tickers.Investments are not just numbers on a page, he said. These are decisions that very quickly go to our everyday lives... whether you are hoping as a construction worker that a project is gonna go forward near you... This is not a game. And what keeps him up at night isnt just prices rising though he reminded listeners that a tariff is a tax.The other thing Im really watching is the jobs part, he said. Now a recession has gone from being viewed as pretty unlikely a year ago... to being viewed as better than a coin flip.Related: Pete Buttigieg reportedly wont run for U.S. Senate, keeping 2028 presidential hopes aliveHe added: For so many people, this is not just something thats of interest to you because you like watching the news. This is peoples lives. On governing by chaos: This Is Chaotic On PurposeButtigieg argued that the Trump teams disinterest in coherent policy isnt incompetenceits strategy, and its about power.Theres a logic here, he said. If you make it completely chaotic, then the only organizing principle is the man himself. The more messy you make it... the more its total chaos except you get to the man. You get to the king, Buttigieg said. Thats a terrible way to make policy. And its terribly unfair. He continued: If you believe that the press will hold you accountable, then you know that when you dont get something right, you have to talk about it, think about it, learn from it, do better next time. If, on the other hand, you think you can just beat your chest and say its all fake news... then why bother going through the finer points of making sure that all the places youre putting tariffs on are actually countries or checking your math once or twice before you throw the markets into total turmoil, right? On the Signal scandalButtigieg also weighed in on the Trump administrations Signal scandal after The Atlantic reported that top officials coordinated U.S. military strikes in an unsecured group chat and accidentally included a journalist. This is the highest level of fuckup imaginable, Buttigieg posted on Instagram. These people cannot keep America safe.On Stewarts podcast, he didnt rehash the profanity but underscored the danger. They send the battle plans to the wrong guy on the wrong text app, and they randomly put a tariff on a country that doesnt have anybody. WWW.PRIDE.COMWilson Cruz unleashes on Terrence Howard for weird comments about refusing gay rolesOut Star Trek: Discovery star Wilson Cruz is clapping back after actor Terrence Howard went on a homophobic rant on a podcast. On a recent episode of the PBD Podcast, the 56-year-old Empire and Iron Man star told host Patrick Bet-David that men who attended Sean Diddy Combs' infamous parties gave up their manhood. When you give up your manhood, Ive never seen somebody recover from it. That was all the people that went to the Puffy parties, Howard said, according to Queerty. That was all the people that did all those things thinking that there was never gonna be a consequence for what they were doing. Get punked out and p*mped out by some over-greater desire.Combs is currently sitting in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, awaiting his criminal trial which is set to begin May 5. The successful rapper and music producer is being charged with racketeering, which includes alleged incidents of kidnapping, drugging, and coercing women into sexual activity with the threat of violence as well as new charges of sex trafficking and engaging in prostitution, the BBC reports. Leaning into an outdated version of masculinity, Howard went on to say that he never took on gay roles during his career because he would have had to give up his man card.Ive lost businesses because I dont bend over in that way. I dont compromise. I dont play gay roles. I dont kiss a man. I dont do that s**t because the man card means everything. As a gay actor himself, Cruz didnt let Howard's anti-LGBTQ+ comments stand. He sure did talk a different talk and act in a different way when it came to working with me in the 90s. Loved my work, loved my choices, etc. This fool is out here performing for the WHYTE man, doing and saying what he needs to do to get over. He is quite literally BENDING OVER and doing what pleases THE MAN and he seems to enjoy it, he wrote on Threads when he shared a clip of Howard on the podcast. The truth is no one wants to work with his tired a**, anyway, due to his ego and lack of work ethic, so quite literally, Go f*ck yourself. You are the sellout here, he continued.Cruz also tagged Howard in his Instagram Stories when he shared a post by The Feminist Vibe that reads, Maybe you wouldnt feel so emasculated by feminism if your manhood was rooted in something other than oppressing women, signing it Sincerely, Real Men.0 Comments 0 Shares 118 Views 0 Reviews

Its not even a country; its just an island with some penguins, Buttigieg said. These screwups are not something that causes introspection. On life after Washington: I guess I should feed the dog nowButtigieg, now spending more time at home in Michigan, reflected on the whiplash of going from a Cabinet role to being a regular dad again. This is a department with 55,000 people... and then one day its 12 oclock, and youre done, and you just like, 'I guess I should feed the dog now,' he said. WWW.PRIDE.COM'Fortnite' is being flooded with Sabrina Carpenters & video game bros are not coping wellSabrina Carpenter is taking over Fortnite and video game bros are big mad about it.The singer is "headlining" the latest iteration of Fortnite Festival, a performance-based game spun off from Fortnite itself. But the real win here is that its introduced a number of Sabrina-themed customization options to the game that allow players to deck their characters out to look like Sabrina and emote or dance to some of her songs, among other things. (@) This has taken Fortnite by storm. Fans of Carpenter (or of fun in general) have been posting videos in which they spoof the "Juno" positions shes been doing on her tour, have dance-offs, and otherwise just flood the game with little(r) Sabrinas. (@) "they never should've added sabrina to fortnite LMFAOOO" (@) "the refusal to kill another sabrina carpenter girlie on fortnite" (@) Despite this being something many are clearly downright delighted by, those inclined towards gatekeeping have been hilariously melting down over having to share virtual space with an influx of digital pop stars. WWW.PRIDE.COMAdult star Emma Rose says transgender models arent just props for your desiresQueen behavior!Pornhub recently dropped their annual statistics for Transgender Day of Visibility and Emma Rose secured the top spot as the number one trans performer on the popular adult site.Since her debut back in 2020, Rose quickly shot to fame once she decided to fully embark on a career in the adult entertainment industry."It's a dream come true! I've been working for years to get to this point. Especially in how the climate is today, it's really important [that people] just see us as equals," Rose tells PRIDE. See on Instagram Along with the top entertainers, this year's data also includes the most searched transgender terms, trans searches by gender, top viewing states and countries, and so much more."It's been amazing to see that growth. Trans is the [fifth] most watched genre in the industry! I think that the stigma is finally going away. OnlyFans really helped with that because when COVID hit, nobody was working."Politically, many people in conservative areas often speak out against the transgender community and advocate for their rights to be taken away. However, Republican states typically consume the most trans content on Pornhub and Ohio even took the top spot as the state that watches the most transgender adult films."I have a lot of people who are in the closet and very right-leaning that are on my [sites]. They talk really negatively and I just need y'all to find your truth. We're living our truth, okay? We don't need to get shamed because you're attracted to us. We're not props for your desires. WWW.PRIDE.COM11 lesbian dirtbag movies and where to watch themWe all love lesbian comedies, touching coming-of-age stories, or hauntingly beautiful period pieces, but sometimes we want to get a little dirty in a sapphic way.Thats where the lesbian dirtbag comes in. Perfection is boring, so we love these messy characters. Lesbian dirtbags are often working-class characters pushed into difficult situations where their backs are against the wall. These are not polished characters who can hide their bad behavior behind a veneer of respectability, they are liars, cheats, women who treat their lovers badly or sometimes kill to protect them. They color outside the lines, and we love them for it!Lou 'Love Lies Bleeding'Kristen Stewarts character Lou from Love Lies Bleeding was born into the criminal underworld and as much as she tries to separate herself from her mobster father, shes a dirtbag at heart. She may ply her girlfriend (Katy OBrian) with illegal steroids to help her win a bodybuilding competition, but shes also willing to get violent to protect the people she loves and knows how to hide a body. Add in a hot mullet and her propensity for sleeveless tees, and were in love.Where to watch: MaxPJ and Josie BottomsBottoms is the raunchy teen comedy that lesbians have needed for decades and stars two major dirtbags. Main characters PJ and Josie, played by Rachel Sennott and Ayo Edebiri respectively, are horny and desperate to lose their V cards, so they do what any teen dirtbag would do: they start a fight club to aid them in hooking up with hot cheerleaders. Thats scumbag behavior, and its hilarious to watch. What to watch: Prime VideoCorky BoundThe most iconic Be Gay Do Crime movie, Bound is the blueprint for lesbian erotic thrillers. Gina Gershons endlessly hot butch character Corky is the working class bad girl of your dreams, and a quintessential lesbian dirtbag. Shes fresh out of prison, works with her hands on a renovation (so shes always looking hawt covered in grime), and manages to steal a violent gangsters girl (Jennifer Tilly) and plan a heist. Where to watch: Pluto TVCleo Set it offQueen Latifahs character Cleo in Set it Off may not be your typical lesbian dirt bag shes a single mom whos only committing a crime because shes broke but shes definitely a queer woman behaving badly so were counting it! And you still get a lot of charms of other lesbian dirtbags, Cleo is boisterous, knows how to wield a gun, and is willing to be a jerk to get her way (like when she intimidates a sex worker so she wont identify her to police).Where to watch: Rent on VODDawn Female TroublePretty much every sapphic character in a John Waters movie falls into the lesbian dirtbag category, and Divines Dawn from Female Trouble is no different. Dawn is a delinquent high school student who goes berserk on her parents before running away from home, hitchhiking, and getting pregnant. She then becomes a terrible mother and throws herself into a life of crime. Basically, shes the ultimate dirtbag who is still a blast to watch in large part because of Divines performance. Where to watch: Rent on Fandango At HomeMarian and Jamie Drive Away DollsIts rare to get the chance to watch lesbians acting out, being funny, and oozing sex appeal all in a single movie, but that actually what you get with Drive Away Dolls. Starring Margaret Qualley and Geraldine Viswanathan (along with queer actors Colman Domingo and Beanie Feldstein), this comedy caper features the uninhibited lesbian lothario Jamie, who loves to pick up girls in dyke bars, unapologitcally embraces her sexuality, and seems to fall effortlessly into interacting with the criminal underworld.Where to watch: Prime VideoFritzi Desert FuryFilm historian Eddie Muller once described Desert Fury as the gayest movie ever produced in Hollywoods golden era, and while the thinly veiled gay love story is between Eddie and Johnny, side character Fritzi (Mary Astor) is a lesbian dirtbag in all but name. She is a female casino boss who sports masculine clothing and is a terrible mother who has a bizarre (bordering on incestuous) obsession with her daughter Paula (Lizabeth Scott). The film was made in 1947, smack dab in the middle of the Hays Code, so while all of the queerness is purely subtextual, Fritzi may just be the prototypical lesbian dirtbag.Where to watch: Buy on Amazon PrimeHeather My AnimalLesbian werewolf movie My Animal, stars nonbinary actor Bobbi Salvr Menuez as Heather, a young woman who is struggling with her sexuality and the fact that she keeps turning into a werewolf. That alone isnt enough to label Heather who is falling for Amandla Stenbergs character Jonny as a lesbian dirtbag, but her role as the town outcast and her violent streak while in her werewolf form definitely qualify her. Where to watch: Rent on Amazon PrimeSophie and Bee in Bodies Bodies BodiesBee may be the most sympathetic character in the horror comedy Bodies Bodies Bodies, but shes still a lesbian dirtbag. Shes a working-class lesbian whos been lying to her girlfriend about college, steals things from the rich kids throwing the hurricane party, and she and her girlfriend (Amandla Stenberg) are quick to turn on each other when things start going south. Bees girlfriend Sophie, on the other hand, is too wealthy to be a classic lesbian dirtbag, but she is comfortable lying to Bee and cheating on her and treats her friends terribly too full dirtbag behavior. Where to watch: Rent on Amazon PrimeDiane in Jack & DianeOk, So Jack & Diane isnt the best lesbian movie out there we can admit that. But this metaphorical lesbian werewolf movie features two baby gays stumbling their way through their first love and while both characters are naive, its Diane (Juno Temple) who falls into the lesbian dirtbag camp by lying to Jack (Riley Keough) over and over again. Where to watch: tubiClaude All Over MeButch teen girl Claude live with her divorced mom in Hells Kitchen circa 1997 in All Over Me, about Claude on a journey of sexual discovery during summer vacation. While most of Claudes bad behavior can be chalked up to youth (she yells at her crush Ellen when she was the one who just rudest to hookup with another girl), shes still a messy baby gay who may just grow up to be a full blown lesbian dirtbag.Where to watch: YouTube0 Comments 0 Shares 103 Views 0 Reviews

The History of Sound directed by Oliver HermanusQueer fans everywhere have been waiting with bated breath to finally see Josh OConnor and Paul Mescal fall in love in this WWI-set period drama, The History of Sound. The film follows two men named Lionel (Mescal) and David (OConnor) who set out to record the lives, voices, and music of their American countrymen during World War I. Director Hermanus previously won the Queer Palm in 2011 for his film Beauty.La Petite Dernire directed by Hafsia HerziBased on the semi-autobiographical novel Fatima Daas, in this French-German drama series, Fatima, the youngest daughter in an Algerian immigrant family, comes to terms with her identity as she prepares for her new life at university.Alpha directed by Julia DucournauJulia Ducournau, whose film Titane earned the director the Palme dOr in 2021, is back with her latest, Alpha. Set in the 1980s in a New York-like city, a young girl is faced with mortality for the first time when one of her parents is struck ill during the AIDS crisis. While the films description is not explicitly queer both of Ducournaus previous films centered on LGTBQ+ characters so there is a very good chance this one will feature queer characters, as well. Regardless, anything from this director is a must-watch.Fuori directed by Mario MartoneAnother film taking inspiration from an autobiography (LUniversit di Rebibbia), this Italian drama takes place in Rome in the 1980s and follows a womans experience in prison following an act of desperation. Once inside the prison walls, she forms powerful bonds with her fellow inmates and makes many self-discoveries, including around her identity.Romera directed by Carla SimnIn Romera an orphaned young woman seeks out her paternal grandparents in hopes of earning a scholarship, upon meeting her family for the first time she uncovers unknown truths about her family, how they navigated the struggles they faced including drugs and the AIDS crisis of the 1980s.The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo (La Misteriosa Mirada del Flamenco) directed by Diego CspedesThe 1980s is proving to be a hot era for films at this year's festival. This Chilean drama is set during that decade and sees a young girl named Lydia who lives with her queer uncle in a remote mining village. The town is struck by a strange illness that is rumored to be caused by love with another man through eye contact. Bonus: The Secret Agent (O Secreto Agente) directed by Kleber Mendona FilhoThis Brazilian drama is set in 1977 at the end of that countrys military dictatorship. Marcelo, in an attempt to leave his past behind, relocates to a new city only to discover he cant run away from his troubled history. While the description is not queer, the film stars Udo Kier and so were including it as an honorary mention. Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning directed by Christopher McQuarrieThe final chapter in Ethan Hunt's wild and worldwide espionage adventures has finally come. In it, Hunt must face off with his most sinister adversary yet, a rogue AI. Listen, we love a good action movie but we're here because Katy OBrian is here. When she is on screen, we are seated. Bonus: Eddington directed by Ari AsterAri Aster has yet to make a movie we did not at least feel deeply impacted and challenged by. Some we absolutely loved. Some we absolutely respected. This year, audiences get to see which of those two buckets his latest will fall into. This time, Aster is offering his take on the American contemporary western with a dark comedy about a small-town sheriff in New Mexico, set against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic. Much like with Katy OBrian, anything that stars Pedro Pascal earns us an automatic watch. Few celebs are more universally beloved by the LGBTQ+ community than this ruggedly handsome and utterly charming hunk.0 Comments 0 Shares 128 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.PRIDE.COMAm I feeling 'Younger,' or is it the joy of finally living my truest self?More and more each day, I'm feeling a bit younger. It could be the return of sunshine and warmer weather to Upstate New York. Or getting back into the groove of attending the fitness room in my building. And, as I approach 40, I'm amused when folks assume I'm in my late 20s or early 30s. There's a kick in my steps, perhaps from the daily intake of spironolactone or the weekly hormone shot.Still, there are moments I do feel quite like my age. There are days I wake up with back and neck pain despite pillows sprawled all over the bed. My midday lunches have turned into midday naps. And I am less excited about going out, cozying up on the couch to enjoy a movie or series after a long work week.Younger's Liza Miller: A Model for Queer JourneysI wrapped up the last season of Younger the previous weekend, having almost religiously watched all seven seasons. I've realized Darren Star's impact on many of the shows I've enjoyed, from Sex and the City to Cashmere Mafia and Emily in Paris. (Yes, Emily Cooper's antics are comforting to watch. No, I will not answer any more questions on the matter!) Once again, the genius of Darren Star taps into a charmingly escapist series. @netflix #Younger original sound - Netflix For those who haven't seen the show, now streaming on Netflix, Younger stars Liza Miller as a woman in her 40s, a recent divorcee whose desire to return to the publishing world falls short due to her age. To solve this, she masquerades as a vibrant 26-year-old to reboot her career and love life. However, the ending wasn't necessarily on a "happily ever after" tonewell, not overtly anywayit's a reminder that some happy endings are just another beginning. Sure, the scenario might be extreme, but the heart of her story of reinvention, rediscovery, and reclaiming joy feels deeply familiar to the trans experience. The trans experience often means our timelines don't match the neat, linear progression society expects. Speaking for myself (because the overall experience isn't a monolith), fear disrupted my adolescence. Adulthood has finally marked a blossoming authenticity rather than conventional milestones. And in this newfound bloom, it can sometimes feel like being a teenager all over again.Though, this time, with less acne and more money. What is Second Adolescence? In an article for Psychology Today, Adam James Cohen defines this as Second Adolescence. It's a life stage for LGBTQ+ adults navigating adulthood "after growing up in an anti-queer world." Second Adolescence involves addressing experiences our younger "closeted" selves may have missed. This experience can range from first dates and kisses to dressing and expressing our most authentic selves. This stage, according to Cohen, is about addressing our exposure to anti-queerness (and possibly other anti-isms that go against white heteronormativity, from anti-Blackness to anti-fatness), examining how these constructs may still have a grapple on us, and how we work to unlearn these previously held beliefs.Second Adolescence isn't just a playful catchphrase but a powerful act of self-love. It's an overdue opportunity to explore the textures of joy and the contours of desire without the looking shadow of shame or expectation. It's about taking in the first sweet thrill of truly seeing yourself in the mirror, discovering how your heart truly beats next to someone in a public space, and the joy of making new friends in queer spaces that affirm your existence.Dancing Through LifeI'll never forget the first night I stepped into a gay club in my mid-20s. The lights were pulsing, and the music was loud enough to drown out my internal thoughts. The shyness eventually gave way to the smiles, and a friend pulled me to dance (I'm almost sure it was the extended version of Beyonc's "Get Me Bodied"). By night's end, all the previously held beliefs were left on the dancefloor. It was electric! For the first time in years, perhaps ever, I felt young. Not in terms of age but in the buoyant, reckless, heart-racing way youth is supposed to feel. That night was magic.Several years later, at 31, I would experience this feeling once againthis time, in my third adolescence as a trans woman. But I've learned something essential over the years: Youth isn't tied to a number but weighted in personal growth.Next week will be nine years since I started my transition. At the start, I spent countless days wishing to fast-forward through the awkward phases. I spent many nights wishing I could skip directly to a future where I could confidently and safely be myself. But when that moment finally arrivedand only occurred within the past few monthsI realized how crucial and missed those earlier stages were. Making up for lost time in my second and third adolescence by living my high school dreams decades after graduating. Hanging out 'til late at night with my girlfriends, reliving the escapades from the night before over takeout (or coffee) and the first flushes of teenage romance years later than expected.Despite it all, it's still been fabulous. Celebrating Freedom Over Conformity Consider the lessons from Younger: Liza Miller's playful deception allows her to rediscover passions, reshape her career, and reconnect with her most genuine self. Her age may be a facade, but her joy and growth are real. And isn't that precisely what queer folks do when we step into our truths, even if society judges us for coloring outside the lines? Some critics outside (and occasionally within) our community may accuse us of refusing to "grow up," but they miss the beauty of our narrative. We're not rejecting adulthood but reshaping it. We're crafting a version of maturity that doesn't demand we abandon wonder or whimsy. After all, what's the point of surviving if we can't thrive on our terms? There's an inherent privilege baked into "traditional timelines" whereby society lays out expected milestones like they're as simple as ticking off a grocery list. Go to school, fall in love, get married, buy a house, raise a family, and somewhere between all that, magically find happiness. But for us, especially trans folks, those benchmarks don't align neatly with our experiences or desires. Our milestones might look more like the first pride parade attended openly or the first time someone respected our pronouns. The first time we felt comfortable being in a bar (be it queer or straight), or that euphoric first kiss with someone who sees us for who we truly are.Lessons from "Younger"After watching Younger unfold and witnessing Liza's awkward yet liberating adventures, I realized the power of her story isn't in how she pretends to be younger. It's how she courageously allows herself to rediscover joy. She gives herself permission to be messy, make mistakes, and fall madly, wonderfully, in love with her life again. And shouldn't we all have that?Relishing in our Second (or Third) Adolescence is about feeling empowered to keep dreaming, dancing, and rediscovering who we are. There will always be critics of our decision to refuse "growing up." But refusing to settle into someone else's idea of maturity isn't a refusal. It's freedom. It's embracing joy and loving ourselves fiercely and fully. Life is too short for conformity and far too precious to waste pretending. So, love, stay curious, and continue discovering yourself.Whatever age you may be.xx,Your Lovable Trans AuntieYour Lovable Trans Auntie is our go-to advice column for lifes biggest (and messiest) questionslove, work, identity, and everything in between. WWW.PRIDE.COMBella Thorne shares her 'GROSS' experience with Mickey Rourke after 'Big Brother' homophobiaIn the days following Mickey Rourke putting his homophobia on full display on the set of Celebrity Big Brother, pansexual actress Bella Thorne is slamming him for inappropriate behavior on set.The 27-year-old Girl star alleged that she had bruises on my pelvic bone after filming a scene with Rourke on the set of a movie the two stars made together.Thorne took to social media on Friday to claim that filming the 2020 thriller Girl was one of the worst experiences of may life because of the way Rourke treated her. This fucking dude. GROSS. I had to work with this man - In a scene where I'm on my knees with my hands zip tied around my back, she began in a social media post laying out her allegations against the 72-year-old The Wrestler star. The text of her claims was overlaid over the top of a screenshot of an article about Rourke with the headline, Rourke warned over homophobic remarks to Siwa in Big Brother. (@) The article is referring to the controversy surrounding Rourke after he used a homophobic slur and told lesbian pop star Jojo Siwa that if he stays in the Celebrity Big Brother house longer than four days, you wont be gay anymore, The Cut reports.Thorne continued by recounting a harrowing experience she alleges she had with Rourke. He's supposed to take a metal grinder to my knee cap and instead he used it on my genitals thru my jeans. Hitting them over and over again. I had bruises on my pelvic bone - Working with Mickey was one of the all time worst experiences of my life working as an actress. The actress made two other posts on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, where she claimed that she has so many gross stories he made me go thru on the set of Girl. She said he tried to humiliate her on set in front of the entire crew and refused to speak to the director of producers, so she had to be the go-between despite being uncomfortable with being alone with him in his trailer. I didnt wanna do it. I was uncomfortable, but I did what I was asked to do and what was best for the movie. Mickey shouldve never put anybody in that movie in any of those positions that he did, she wrote. (@) She followed that post up with a third one five hours later, Also side note: like fuck Mickey - how he acted doesnt negate the incredible hard work that everybody else put into that movie. Everyone worked HARD literal blood, sweat, and tears to make that vision and Im really proud of everyone and the work that was done on that movie." (@) In the wake of the homophobia scandal, Rourke told The Sun that his career is in the toilet because of his short fuse and that there is no one to blame for my ship sinking except myself. He also explained that he only agreed to join the cast of Celebrity Big Brother because it was between this or a really bad independent movie, and I've had it up to here with really bad independent movies.Rourke also tried to curry sympathy after facing calls to be fired when he opened up about the abuse he suffered in childhood, which has led to chronic insomnia, on Thursdays episode of the reality TV show. According to The Daily Mail, when Siwa asked Rourke what keeps him from sleeping, he said, Fear. It's like my childhood is something else, but fear of not being able to fix anything before I go"Thorne and Rourke did not immediately respond to a request for comment from PRIDE.0 Comments 0 Shares 138 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.PRIDE.COMWe've always been here 13 gay photos from the dawn of photographyBeing gay is nothing new. As long as there have been humans there have been members of our LGBTQ+ family. While we could certainly have more examples, we are fortunate still have plenty photos of gay couples and lesbian couples, as well as the drag queens and even gay motorcycle clubs who prove that we have not only existed by thrived in our queerness throughout history. In other words, as long as there has been photography there have been gays who have wanted snap pics. These images from Walter Reuben Inc.'s collection depict same-sex couples and groups expressing affection, friendship, and other forms of intimacy. Many are from the earliest days of photography, and the bulk of the collection consists of images from the late 19th and early 20th centuries."In the images one has the sense that the subjects are very informal and intimate with each other," says a statement from Reuben, the curator. "Their body language, dress, and positioning display indications of intimacy of coupling in most cases. As many are from a period in which photography was not common, that these people choose to be photographed together for formal photos and for real-life postcards indicates that they are couples wishing to celebrate their union." Some of the postcards are addressed to family members, who likely were fully accepting of the unions, Reuben notes. Several of the early candid shots are from the time of westward expansion, when most of the migrants were men; in the absence of women, they turned to each other for companionship, a scenario that played out during wartime as well. Past centuries "were perhaps more sexually fluid than one may think, and it was not till later that certain stigmas came to be realized," the curator concludes. WWW.PRIDE.COMMenendez brothers' aunt breaks decades of silence amidst resentencing debateAs the fate of the infamous Menendez brothers remains up in the air, their remaining relatives are speaking up about their imprisonment including an aunt who has stayed quiet on the matter for decades."Its time 35 years is a long time," 85-year-old Terry Baralt told ABC News. "Its a whole branch of my family erased. The ones that are gone and the ones that are still paying for it, which were kids."Baralt is the only living sister of Jos Menendez, who was murdered by his sons back in 1989, along with his wife, Kitty. More weight has been given in recent years to the accusations that he sexually abused his children, which has played a part in the calls for Erik and Lyle Menendez to finally be eligible for parole after spending over three decades in prison."When kids are little and they come to you, you fix the problem. I cant help them," she admitted. "There is nothing I can do just go visit them and cry when I leave."Last fall, Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascn voiced his support for resentencing, which would allow the brothers to be eligible for parole. When Nathan Hochman was elected to replace Gascn in the latest election, he made a hard pivot from his predecessors stance.Hochman has insisted the Menendez brothers have demonstrated a "lack of acceptance of responsibility for their murderous actions" and that they "pose an unreasonable risk of danger to the community."Many of their family members, as well as members of the general public, have voiced their disagreement. Currently, a judge is hearing arguments as to whether a resentencing hearing will take place at all.For Baralt, any delays in determining her nephews fate take an additional toll she told ABC News that shes fighting colon cancer, and may not live to see them released if it doesnt happen soon."I have tried to go see them as much as I can, but its hard because I live in New Jersey and Im 85," she said. "I dont have that much time."0 Comments 0 Shares 129 Views 0 Reviews

WWW.PRIDE.COMEducation Secretary mistakes artificial intelligence for *checks notes* steak sauceLinda McMahon spoke on an educational panel this week, where she reportedly mistook artificial intelligence for steak sauce. While discussing how AI will impact education, McMahon, who is notably the U.S. Secretary of Education, repeatedly referred to AI as A1, as in the vinegar-based condiments used on steaks.McMahon made the gaffe while speaking on a panel at the ASU+GSV Summit, a global annual conference aimed at bringing together leaders to discuss the future of education and workforce skills innovations. During her speech, the Education Secretary said she knew of a school system that's going to start making sure that first graders, or even pre-Ks, have A1 teaching in every year. (@) McMahon, who used to be the CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment and participated in wrestling skits during matches before President Donald Trump picked her to run the Department of Education, clearly meant to say AI but continued to make the same error repeatedly."Kids are sponges. They just absorb everything," she added. "It wasn't all that long ago that it was, 'We're going to have internet in our schools!' Now let's see A1 and how can that be helpful. While anyone can misspeak, this error makes it sound like the Secretary of Education for the United States of America thinks A1 sauce is the key to childrens success in school. After McMahons blunder went viral, A1s marketing team seized the opportunity and created an image of a new bottle with the label For education purposes only and posted the spoof ad on the companys Instagram account with the text, Agree, Best To Start Them Early.See on InstagramThe brand also captioned the fake ad, You heard her. Every school should have access to A.1.A1s marketing team wasnt the only one lining up to laugh at McMahons mistake; people on the internet have been dunking on her since yesterday. Not only were people hilariously using Simpsons gifs to roast her on X (formerly Twitter), but other people critiqued her intelligence, with one person posting, Were ruled by the stupidest, most incompetent people in the world, while someone else wrote that A1 sauce will help student and the smarter kids can move up to Thousand Island Dressing.Keep scrolling to see the funniest reactions to the Education Secretary proving how much she knows about artificial intelligence! Education Secretary Linda McMahon confuses it with steak sauce and calls it 'A1.' Where are all the MAGA folks who were screeching about Biden?" (@) "Artificial intelligence has disrupted and will continue to disrupthopefully for the betternumerous aspects of society. A1 is a steak sauce. The Secretary of Education needs to understand the difference." (@) "Secretary of education says she heard that first graders will have A1 in school. she went on to say kids are sponges.
