• It is time to acknowledge the challenges our LGBTQ+ community faces and to stand together in support. The reality is that LGBTQ+ individuals, especially youth, are disproportionately affected by mental health struggles and suicide due to systemic violence and discrimination.

But there is hope, and we can all play a role in making a difference.

At Queerlinq, we are dedicated to uplifting and supporting our LGBTQ+ community by providing resources to counseling, social support, and outreach services. Whether you're seeking help for yourself or a loved one, know that you are not alone.

Building a support network, having open conversations, and knowing where to turn in times of crisis can save lives.

Remember, you can access 24/7 support from LGBTQ-trained crisis counselors by dialing 988 and pressing 3. Let's work together to create a world where every LGBTQ+ person feels seen, heard, and supported.

  • In order to maintain a friendly, inclusive atmosphere, we do ask that you follow some basic rules in your interactions on this page:

    1. TOLERANCE AND INTOLERANCE

This space is meant to be welcoming to a wide variety of LGBT+ people, free from exclusion. Absolutely no bigotry or hate speech of any kind is allowed.

We will not tolerate intolerance, but expect tolerance otherwise.

Be accepting, or at least tolerant, of all identities falling under our LGBT+ umbrella. This goes especially for those members of the LGBT+ community which are often underrepresented or excluded, such as those who are ace/aro, bi, transmasc, et cetera.
You're all wonderful, valid beans and we're very glad you're here with us.

We would hope this is self explanatory, but to be sure, see the below list of unaccepted behaviors.

    -TERFs
    -Trolls
    -Homo/Bi/Pan/Ace/Aro/NB/Trans -phobia (etc as needed)
    -maps/pedophiles
    -gatekeeping
-truscum/transmed (Dysphoria is not required to be Trans/NB)
    -etc.

    2. Be Kind to Other Members

Be respectful of every member, and their questions.

Assume that people asking questions are coming from a less informed or insecure place. Please try to give other members the benefit of the doubt and offer help and information where possible. If they prove to be problematic, belligerent, or disingenuous, don't pick a fight, don't add fuel to the fire, don't get involved. Tag an admin, and let us handle it.

    3. No Dirty Deletes

We have the luxury of communicating online, but the energy put into online conversations is the same, if not more, than in person ones sometimes. And you cant erase a conversation from someones brain in real life.

If someone took the time to attempt to educate you on a topic, or clarifies an important point, even if you feel YOU don't need it? It may be important for others. No deleting comments or threads after the fact.

(Exception: You want to apologize for a snap reaction or the like? Update the existing comment. Don't just delete it.)

Again, if there is a thread that people think is problematic? Tag an admin. We will determine if it warrants deletion.

    4. Unwanted Behaviors

We are here because we want a place to enjoy our memes away from toxicity and negativity. No, we can't be perfectly happy 24/7, but we can at least be considerate.

Being unnecessarily rude, aggressive, hateful, disrespectful, or any other unpleasant/disruptive behavior, ESPECIALLY ones violating rule 1, may result in your post/comment being deleted and you getting a warning. Depending on the severity, or if this behavior is repetitive, you may be banned.

    5. Do Not Add or Message people Randomly.

Please, ask them before doing so. Not everyone adds random people, or is comfortable with random messages. Please police yourselves on this, and if you find yourself being harassed by someone, bring it up to an admin.

    6. Avoid excessive self-deprecation.

Commiserating with friends and gallows humor are a valid way to cope with some of the terrible things in our lives, but going out of your way to put yourself down and beat yourself up does actual, lasting harm to your mental health.

We want you to be as happy and healthy as you can be, and encourage you to do what you can to help yourself with that.
