Man charged with felony over bizarre & disturbing Grindr stalking plot
A 30-year-old man has been charged with felony stalking after engaging in what police describe as a yearlong pattern of disturbing and intrusive behavior on the queer dating app Grindr.Matthew Huebschman of Appleton, Wisconsin, reportedly sent multiple unknown men to a victims home by posing as the victim on the app and instructing men to visit his residence and enter when they arrived. Related Man allegedly intimidated neighbor with anti-LGBTQ+ slurs before shooting & paralyzing him Over the course of more than a year, numerous men arrived at the victims residence under these false pretenses, said the Appleton Police Department in a statement.This sustained harassment created a persistent sense of fear and distress for the victim and their household.Police also said Huebschman was arrested after being caught watching the men arrive at the house from a spot nearby.Huebschman was arrested in October and pleaded not guilty on Monday.
