Conservative Christians freak out over the elf word in a cute Christmas ad
One Million Moms (OMM) is upset that a new Christmas-themed ad from the retail department store chain Kohls features an insinuated f-bomb. OMM has asked its followers to sign a petition and boycott the store until it cancels the ads.The ad features pro-basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo speaking to Kohls Mom, a helpful character played by actress Ellie Kemper. The athlete tells Kemper, I tried building my kids a dollhouse, and well, Then, extending a bandaged thumb and frowning, he adds, I might have used the elf word.' Santas gonna be so mad! The rest of the ad features humorous scenes of Kemper suggesting gifts to white female customers. It is unnecessary to hint at profanity in any commercial, especially the f-word in a Christmas ad, OMM wrote in its latest petition.
