A landlord blew a kiss at his tenant, so the tenant threw him off his roof
A judge sentenced a Weirton, West Virginia, man to one to five years in prison for pushing his male landlord off a rooftop after the landlord blew a kiss at him.A 36-year-old man named Michael Besozzi II allegedly pushed his landlord off of scaffolding in front of the house where Besozzi lived (which the landlord owned) on April 2024 following a dispute over the landlord playing loud music. Mr. Besozzi then stated that he went outside and told [the landlord] to keep it down. After telling [the landlord] to keep it down, [the landlord] blew a kiss at Mr. Besozzi.While news reports didnt mention the nature of the blown kiss, its possible the gesture was meant more as mockery than flirtation. Subscribe to our Newsletter today Besozzi then shook the scaffolding that the landlord was standing on, causing him to fall and suffer a separated shoulder and torn rotator cuff. Emergency medical service workers tended to the landlord outside of his home before the police arrived. Police officers then questioned the landlord at the hospital, though Besozzi said he had only handled the scaffolding while asking the landlord to turn down the music volume. Police charged Besozzi with felony malicious or unlawful assault, WBOY reported. In August, Besozzi accepted an Alford plea, in which he didnt admit guilt but conceded that prosecuting attorneys had enough evidence for a trial conviction.Judge Jason A. Cuomo sentenced Besozzi to serve between one and five years in the West Virginia Division of Corrections.
