Democrat slams Libs of TikTok as a pedophile protector
Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) hit back at hate influencer Chaya Raichik, the person who mocks and targets LGBTQ+ and ally teachers online under the name Libs of TikTok and calls them groomers to imply that they sexually abuse children.Raichik posted two videos of DeLauros comments regarding the shutdown. The first video showed DeLauro calling out the president for refusing to disburse emergency funds for SNAP benefits, which help poor and working-class people buy food. The second video showed DeLauro denouncing Democrats who voted with Republicans for a continuing resolution to reopen the federal government that let the health care subsidies the Democrats were fighting for expire at the end of the year (which will drastically increase health care premiums that millions of Americans pay). Related Are House Republicans targeting LGBTQ+ community projects with new funding ban? Its almost as if they dont care about hungry Americans at all Raichik wrote, as if there is something strange about Democrats supporting aid for both food and health care for lower-income Americans.DeLauro, who is frequently the target of rightwing attacks because she is an older woman with hair dyed an unnatural color, wasnt having it. Some of the influencers later said that there was nothing that wasnt already public information in those binders and that they believed that more files would be released later. To this day, the administration is fighting the release of those files, as the House of Representatives is expected to vote soon on a measure that would force their release.Subscribe to theLGBTQ Nation newsletterand be the first to know about the latest headlines shaping LGBTQ+ communities worldwide.
