Cynthia Erivo protects Ariana Grande from 'Wicked' carpet crasher
Wicked fans are thanking Cynthia Erivo for her fast actions on a red carpet after a man rushed Ariana Grande and put his arm around her.Grande, Erivo, and their co-star Michelle Yeoh were on the carpet at Thursday's Wicked: For Good Singapore premiere when a man wearing a white shirt with the word "Jesus" on it rushed toward them, grabbing the Glinda actress. (@) Video shows the three actresses walking down the yellow carpet, interacting with fans behind a barrier, when a man jumps over and runs up to them, grabbing Grande and then putting his arm around her. (@) In a dramatic video, Erivo is seen running to Grande's aid, pushing the man away, and comforting Grande after he is removed. The clip shows Grande appearing shocked and afraid as Erivo and Yeoh check on her.
