He posted the video of the competitors kneeling in the ring, smiling from ear to ear and sharing a sweet kiss after the proposal. Related He stood up for a trans woman & got brutally beaten. But strangers helped pay for his surgery. THIS HEALED ME, McKenna wrote in the caption. The video has garnered over 3 million views on TikTok, with many commenting on the joy it brought them. Organized by Trans Dudes of LA, T Boy Wrestling has been packing venues across the country with a politically charged mix of classic American wrestling, staged psychodramas, mixed fighting with strip teases, and drag.Adam Bandrowski and Mich Miller, two L.A.-based artists and founders of Trans Dudes of LA, told NBC in March that the matches are a form of therapy for both the participants and the audience. We wanted to move away from a support-group model to highlight artists and makers in the community, Miller said.Bandrowski added, We dont have to talk about being trans. We can just hang out.The organization turns the traditional idea of masculinity on its head. As LGBTQ Nation writer Greg Owen described the matches in July thus: The standing room only spectacles are making the latent and self-loathing homoeroticism of WWE wrestling a favorite pastime of the president and his MAGA-bro fans overt. Its a dream come true, said March event judge Mack Beggs, just to see this out in the open.Subscribe to theLGBTQ Nation newsletterand be the first to know about the latest headlines shaping LGBTQ+ communities worldwide.
