Dolly Partons sister apologizes for worrying fans about singer's health
Dolly Parton's sister, Frieda, backtracked on her request for the public to pray for her sister's health after the singer announced she was postponing a few concerts due to "health challenges." She apologized for worrying any of her sister's fans, writing a post on Facebook late last night that reads: "I didn't mean to scare anyone or make it sound so serious when asking for prayers for Dolly. She's been a little under the weather, and I simply asked for prayers because I believe so strongly in the power of prayer. It was nothing more than a little sister asking for prayers for her big sister. Thank you all for lifting her up. Your love truly makes a difference." (@) It's unclear exactly what health condition Dolly is dealing with, but Frieda's initial posts led fans to worry that something more troubling was happening, especially after she pushed back some of her Las Vegas shows by nine months after saying her doctors recommended she get a few procedures done for her health issues. "I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you," the singer wrote in a September post, joking that it's time for her 100,000 mile check-up. (@) So, it's easy to understand why her fans were worried when Frieda uploaded a post that reads: "Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. "Many of you know she hasnt been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been (led) to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me. I know in my heart she's going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!"Everyone knows that Dolly is tough as nails and she said in her September post that she sees this as a sign to "slow down" but she tells her fans, "don't worry about me quittin' the business because God hasn't said anything about stopping yet."
