Doja Cat blasts biphobia, loves men who 'like dick' and 'White Lotus'
Doja Cat just dropped the music video for "Stranger" an ode to bisexual men who "like dick," invite her over to watch The White Lotus, and proudly don't fit in with societal norms.Directed by Dave Meyers, Cat's latest music video shows the singer/rapper wearing a very risqu wedding dress, jumping off a plane, and being a (literal) ride-or-die while for an anonymous man who's driving a motorcycle. The "Stranger" lyrics indicate pretty clearly that Cat is into bisexual men. In the second verse, for instance, Cat raps about a man who "don't look like he like dick / But if he liked it, I'd still like him / As a freak, I can admit that, and he likes it.""With each crowd, we proud we don't fit / And ain't nobody here gets our schtick," she adds, while also explaining that she doesn't "even need a vodka soda / Call me over to watch some White Lotus / And after maybe we could rearrange the sofa."In case there was any room for confusion, Cat makes her bisexual-loving point even clearer in a new piece from Interview, in which she unpacks the meaning of "Stranger." "I think that we are programmed to feel a certain way from childhood, and theres things that get in the way of unconditional love," she says. "And if we dont find or pinpoint those things that help us get past those issues or those roadblocks, then we cant give unconditional love. You have to unconditionally love yourself in order to do that for someone else."Interviewer Ary Russell asks, "What are some red flags that you have ignored or currently ignore in a man?""Red flags that I ignore are sounding a little bit gay or acting a little bit gay," Cat says. Russell replies, "No, like, I love a bisexual man.""Yeah, I love a bisexual man! If my man is a little femme, I have no problem with that," Cat adds. "I just think there needs to be a balance, and I need to connect with them in a certain spiritual whatever way."Shoot your shot, bi guys!Watch Doja Cat's "Stranger" music video below.
