" What a shame, I really enjoyed it, it was old school in tone but I liked it for that reason & it had heart Glad it got a season," @cub_poplad wrote on X.Other X reactions include @theimparted's, writing: "It was like a gay Golden Girls, something we very much needed at this time. This is so dumb! Definitely the kind of show that you had to let breathe and grow. Sitcoms are never going to be able to speak to a generation if they keep getting cut off." @OrvilleLloyd commented, "This sucks! One good gay show on television deserved a second season! This show is the gay Golden Girls. Television really treats gay men like garbage. This show is hilarious, just so sad no more episodes."Mid-Century Modern is streaming on Hulu.
