Just a few days after Chappell Roan finished out her four-show residency at Forest Hills Stadium, queer people made the trek back out to Queens, New York, for the All Things Go music festival.Some of the biggest rising stars in music took the stage at the New York City edition of All Things Go which some attendees call the "Lesbian festival" due to the high number of queer acts who perform every year. Artists like Doechii, Remi Wolf, Lucy Dacus, Rachel Chinouriri, The Aces, The Marias, and more delivered exciting performances over the course of three days.The festival originated in Washington, D.C., in 2014, and has since expanded to include festivals in New York City and Toronto. Given that this was only the festival's second year in New York, a few hiccups were to be expected. So, tocatch you up, here's everything notable that happened at the New York City iteration of the All Things Go festival this year.Lucy Dacus brought out Zohran Mamdani. (@) During her headlining set, Lucy Dacus brought out the Democratic nominee in the New York City mayoral race, Zohran Mamdani. The crowd went crazy for the hopeful mayoral candidate after he joined Dacus on stage to talk with her about keeping LGBTQ+ New Yorkers safe."I feel such love and joy in the crowd this evening, and this is what our city should feel like," Mamdani said on stage. "It should be a city where trans New Yorkers are cherished, a city where our queer neighbors are celebrated, and a city where each and every New Yorker can be the fullest version of themselves."The Democratic nominee for mayor added, "And it has to be a city that all of us can afford whether you're an artist, or a dreamer, or someone who works the night shifts. See on Instagram A scary moment happened with Lola Young after she collapsed mid-song during her set at All Things Go on Saturday. The British singer remarked that she wasn't in the best place, mentally, during her performance In fact, Young had returned to the stage after canceling a show the day prior. Not too soon after she spoke about the tough time she was going through, she fainted on stage in the middle of singing "Conceited."Young's team immediately rushed to help and formed a circle around the singer as the entire stadium went silent. The singer laid on the ground for about a minute or two before her team was able to bring her backstage. The entire stadium's nerves were shot after the instance, all while waiting for Remi Wolf to take the stage an hour later. Wolf later came out and performed a few songs before letting the crowd know that Young was doing better and was getting the care she needed.Later, Young shared a text post on Instagram story that read, "Hi, for anyone who saw my set at All Things Go today, I am doing OK now. Thank you for all of your support, Lola xxx." Young subsequently uploaded a another post canceling her concert in D.C. the following day."I'm sorry to confirm that I won't be playing All Things Go in DC today," Young wrote. "I love this job and I never take my commitments and audience for granted, so I'm sorry to those who will be disappointed by this. I hope you'll all give me another chance in the future. Thank you to all those who listen and care."Clairo's mic got cut off mid-song and she was forced off-stage. See on Instagram Clairo was scheduled to close out this year's All Things Go festival in New York City but wasn't able to finish her full set due to a strict curfew that the venue must abide by. Nonetheless, the organizers cut off her mic while she was in the middle of singing "Juna," and she was visibly disappointed as she spoke with a staff member for the festival.Residents that live near the stadium have been butting heads with the venue's management for months now often complaining about the noise and the large crowds. In an effort to manage the complaints filed by those residents, the venue was required to abide by a strict 10 p.m. curfew.Clairo discussed her disappointment on X, writing: "The festival cut us off. No idea why. Really sad we couldn't do our big finish, more surprised they cut my mic mid song . Sad honestly doesn't even explain it I'm sorry." (@)
