Jonathan Groff says wearing leather assless chaps 'awakened things in me'

Among other things, Groff discussed his process to filming sex scenes, how he feels about his body, and even chimed in with his thoughts on leather as a tool for fetish.Groff is currently starring in the Bobby Darin musical Just in Time on Broadway. Given how physical this role can be, Groff detailed his fitness routine, gave himself props for being in the best shape of his life, and revealed that he appears wearing just his underwear during the musical."I just felt like doing it," Groff said, noting that the director and other crew members involved with this stage production of Just In Time made sure that he wanted to do it and didn't feel pressured to say yes.See on Instagram"They were very respectful of me being demure and not wanting to show my body, and now I don't even think about it," Groff added. "I enjoy the flirtation between performer and audience, of stripping down and showing a little skin."Katz and Groff also spoke about the concept of onscreen nudity."Usually, when I'm naked and I'm having sex on camera, I'm not thinking about how my body looks," the actor explained. "It's not like presenting my body to the camera, or presenting the body on stage. It's intimate; the lighting is a huge part of it."Groff continued, "And, you know, the blocking of the fucking," subsequently turning to Katz's mother off-camera. "Hi, mom!"Katz also asked Groff about the leather assless chaps he bought to attend Beyonc's Cowboy Carter Tour. Should all gay men experience chaps?"If they want to," Groff replied. "Honestly, for me, it awakened things in me. I got, like, very excited. It felt amazing."The actor concluded, "Seeing people in harnesses, I was like, 'What is that? Why do they do that?'
