See on Instagram Immediately after the post was uploaded, Donaldsonthe YouTuber with the most subscribers in the worldwas met with a barrage of responses that defending the comedian. One of Donaldson's most vocal critics, YouTuber Rosanna Pansino responded to his post and wrote, "MrBeast's mask slipping this much in less than a year has been fascinating to watch. Sorry Jimmy, Caleb has something you'll never have: A personalty." (@) Donaldson's post was very unpopular on X, so much so that he ended up deleting it and walking back his statement saying, "Ngl after this I watched some of his stuff and its actually good. I deleted the tweet I dont want the smoke from the shooters, spare me plz." (@) His response is a reference to an appearance Hearon did on Drew Afualo's podcast The Comment Section, where he joked about his fervent fanbase of nonbinary baristas. Ayo Edebiri jokingly referred to Donaldson's over-the-top videos and said, "Not you about to get sent to a remote island for 100 days." Afualo left a comment saying, "you when you get ranked higher than a grifter off of childrens joy," referring the criticism MrBeast has received for the type of content he makes and his audience being mostly children. On X, people used this criticism against MrBeast and expressed the issues they felt with his videos. "Caleb Hearon has become an absolute juggernaut in comedy, his podcast is huge, he's in multiple movies and will undoubtedly become a bigger actor," one person wrote on X. "You make slop content for [nine] year olds. You don't 'influence' anyone." (@) (@) Hearon later posted a photo to his Instagram story with a screenshot of Donaldson's post, admitting Hearon is funny, and wrote, "I am in peace talks with MrBeast."
