Rick Owens is supporting LGBTQ+ folks in a way that will knock your socks off.The bisexual designer took to his Instagram on July 15 to share that he is selling videos of his feet on OnlyFans and proceeds will be going to the Allanah Foundation, which operates a shelter for at-risk transgender youth and refugees, La Maison DAllanah, in Versailles, France. See on Instagram The new venture online will be in conjunction with the opening of his latest "Temple of Love" exhibition at the Palais Galliera. "I have opened an @onlyfans account to raise funds for the Allanah Foundation, an organization created by trans pioneer @missallanahstarr to provide scholarships, mentorship programs, and resources for at-risk and in-danger trans youth and refugees, his captions details.The idea came from a woman named Contessa di Castiglione, an Italian aristocrat who became famous for sitting for photographic portraits in the 1800s, which were novel at the time. "As her beauty faded, she retreated to an apartment in the Place Vendme where she had the mirrors removed and the curtains closed and only did portraits of her feet until she died."Owens ended the statement saying, "This is all about my own negotiations with self-display, vanity, and aging."The shelter's namesake actress, performer, and director Allanah Starr uploaded a post to Instagram to thank Owens for his sex work philanthropy. "I cant truly express the gratitude I feel for this immense gesture of not only offering financial support, but for shining light on a neglected part of our community, LGBT refugees, she wrote in the caption.
