Rene Rapp knows what she wants.The "Leave Me Alone" and "Mad" singer, whose latest album, Bite Me, just came out, is making sapphics all over the internet's dreams come true in a new clip from The Today Show.The Today Show asked Rapp what her dream role on Law & Order: SVU would be. "You've done more for my community than you can even imagine And my community is just me, really."After reading the question aloud, Rapp is quick to answer. "Let me tell ya. I would be Mariska Hargitay's lover," she says while flipping her hair. "She would be gay, finally.""There was an episode where they were like, talking about it and considering if she was gay," Rapp recalls. "I feel like Christopher Meloni's character was like, 'Oh, like, you're a lesbian,' and she was like, 'Um, no.' Liar.""I would be her lover. And we would somehow get like, tangled in like, an undercover kind of mish, probably with, like, a drug empire."The episode Rapp is referencing is "P.C." from 2010. It features a storyline where comedian Kathy Griffin plays Babs Duffy, the bisexual leader of a lesbian rights organization called LesBeStrong.At one point in the episode, Duffy tries to kiss Hargitay's character, Olivia Benson, but Benson tells her she's straight.
