Beyond any statistics and fan support, Lina's eventual crowning also felt groundbreaking for the franchise as a whole, as this Italian queen presented in a way that defied gender expression and identity at every turn. Since then, the RuPaul's Drag Race universe has slowly expanded to feature more drag queens that aren't necessarily chained to performing any one singular gender meaning that it is no longer that shocking when fans are introduced to new queer artists operating on this lane.It also doesn't hurt that Lina Galore out of drag is handsome, hunky, and hairy, which has Drag Race fans feeling all sorts of strong emotions.
