Now the bill heads to the Senate. A federal judge in California is reviewing a challenge to three executive orders issued by former President Trump that limit federal funding for programs related to gender identity and diversity, equity, and inclusion, after several LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS nonprofits reported receiving funding termination notices and argued the orders infringe on free speech protections.Over half of Texas 220 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have stalled, but several restrictive measures remain active, alongside a historic House vote to repeal the states sodomy law.Several LGBTQ+ candidates in Pennsylvania advanced in the May 20 primary, including Erica Deuso, who could become the states first openly trans mayor, and judicial hopefuls like Sherrie Cohen and Leon A. King II.Ohio House Democrats have introduced HB 300, a bill that would ban conversion therapy for minors statewide.
