In case you thought you were too old for Sesame Street, the beloved educational childrens show is about to put a Sapphic twist on its 55th season.The trailer for the upcoming season was released today with a very special guest star befriending Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Abby Cadabby.Joining the Sesame Street crew is lesbian pop star Rene Rapp, who sings in the clip, Everybody has feelings, feelings inside them. To really feel your feelings, every day.Music can help when you have all kinds of feelings, Elmo says later in the trailer.The 25-year-old Mean Girls actress is making her guest appearance on a season that will focus on expressing emotions, mindfulness, and resiliency.Rapp isnt the only LGBTQ+ star who will be featured on the show. Tennis pro Billie Jean King, Queer Eyes Jonathan Van Ness, and singer-songwriter SZA are also making guest appearances on the new season, alongside Michael B. Jordan, Noah Kahan, Samara Joy, and Chris Stapleton. Fans are thrilled that Rapp is going to be part of their nostalgic fave, with one writing, Rene Rapp singing on Sesame Street.
