Pop legend Elton John announces that hes nearly blind
Pop legend Elton John has revealed that he can no longer see very well after a severe infection in his right eye that he experienced over the summer. Despite this, a new song of his will soon premiere in a documentary about his life.Its been four months now since I havent been able to see, he recently told Good Morning America. My left eye is not the greatest Theres hope and encouragement that it will be OK, but Im kind of stuck in the moment. Im just very lucky and Im very grateful.Johns infection began during his recent time in the south of France. Upon announcing the infection to his social media followers, he mentioned that he was recovering with assistance from an excellent team of doctors and nurses.I am healing, he wrote in a September Instagram post, but its an extremely slow process and it will take some time before sight returns to the impacted eye. The aforementioned documentary, Elton John: Never Too Late, was co-directed bby his husband David Furnish and R.J. Cutler. It follows the extraordinary highs and heartbreaking lows of the 77-year-old pop stars 50-year career, including how he overcame adversity, abuse and addiction to become the icon he is today, the films description states.The film will feature a new original song from him and show his final concert in North America at Dodger Stadium, a venue that he played early in his career.
