Democrat Jeff Jackson has beaten his Republican opponent, U.S. Rep. Dan Bishop (R), and will become North Carolinas new attorney general. Bishop conceded the race shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday, WFAE reported.Bishop introduced the states infamous H.B. 2, a 2016 law that prohibited transgender people from using public restrooms other than those matching the biological sex listed on their birth certificates.
