Also, while the question isnt asking about a formal diagnosis, which could increase the number of yes responses, it is also dependent on access to health care, which is something that conservative researcher Zach Goldberg admitted to when he first posted about the data in 2020. That is, young white liberal women could just be more likely to seek help for mental health issues.Moreover, the study was conducted in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, which may have had an effect on the results. Young liberals of both genders were more likely than moderates, conservatives, and even older liberals to have said yes to this question among white people.
