Hinchcliffes comments led to condemnation by Republicans and Democrats and compelled several Puerto Rican musicians, including gay pop star Ricky Martin and LGBTQ+ ally Bad Bunny, to publicly endorse Trumps political opponent, Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris.
