Failed GOP candidate claims Hurricane Helene was created to derail Mark Robinsons campaign
North Carolina Republican gubernatorial candidate and anti-LGBTQ+ extremist Mark Robinson wasnt polling well in his race even before his old internet comments calling himself a Black Nazi and showing support for Adolf Hiter and Mein Kampf came to light, but one fellow Republican claims that Democrats created Hurricane Helene to derail Robinsons candidacy.Like the whole thing with North Carolina, I know though its a grab for the land land grab and they want the lithium, Kandiss Taylor, who ran for governor of Georgia in 2022, said on the October 5 edition of her podcast, Jesus. Guns. And Babies. But I also believe they dont want the voters turning out that are all around Asheville. Those Republican, red voters. Related GOP governor candidate said same-sex marriage is an ungodly form of wickedness He has also written that homosexuality leads to PEDOPHILLA and the end of civilization. Asheville itself is a fairly liberal city. Your LGBTQ+ guide to Election 2024 Stay ahead of the 2024 Election with our newsletter that covers candidates, issues, and perspectives that matter. She then said that Robinson understands state sovereignty, which she said was the idea that we are the United States of America but were sovereign, as a state, we should be able to function on our own Were joined because we choose to be. She said this idea terrifies every single establishment politician in this country. The idea that states can leave the union at will was tested during the Civil War. The side that believed that states couldnt simply leave the union won that war. Later in the podcast, Taylors guest Lucretia Hughes expanded on the idea that Democrats can control the weather.Thats so scary, to know they can manipulate our weather, she ranted. To know they have the equipment and the satellite images and the satellite stuff to do it. To know that 5G is a real thing. Knowing that HAARP antennas is literally up there in the Arctic right now.Her rant continued with her claiming that there are video after video of them turning on a big old machine to control the weather. She said that the machine is huge and it spits clouds. The United States has patents in the patent office for them been doing this for decades now. Decades, yall. This aint new, Hughes concluded. Its not new, and were just learning about it because they didnt want us to know about it, Taylor responded.Taylor is far from the only Republican to say publicly that she believes that Hurricane Helene wasnt a totally natural disaster and is, instead, something manipulated or controlled by nefarious actors. Last week, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) sounded bewildered that anyone disagreed with this notion. Yes, they can control the weather, Greene posted on X. Its ridiculous for anyone to lie and say it cant be done.According to The Hills average of polls, Democratic candidate Josh Stein is far ahead of Robinson, getting support from 51% of North Carolinians compared to Robinsons 37%. Over the past several years, Robinson has branded himself as a Christian conservative extremist, denouncing LGBTQ+ peoples existence in vivid and often vulgar terms. Among hismany anti-LGBTQ+ statements, he has called homosexuality an abominable sin, hascompared LGBTQ+ people to cow dungand Satanic demons, and has said trans peopleshould defecate on public street corners outsiderather than using bathrooms matching their gender identity.Headmonished women for not remaining chaste, maderacist remarks against Black women, anddenied the Holocaust.Last month, a bombshell report from CNN brought attention to comments he left on forums on the site Nude Africa where he admitted to spying on women in showers, watching adult films involving transgender actors, and fantasizing about his sister-in-law and urine. He also made numerous racist and antisemitic comments, recommending the book Mein Kampf, saying that he wished slavery would return so that he could own slaves, and calling himself a Black Nazi.Taylor came in third place in the GOP primary in 2022 for Georgia governor, getting less than 4% of the vote. She also ran for the U.S. Senate in 2020 in a special election, where she came in 11th place.Taylor is currently the elected District 1 chair of the Georgia Republican Party. She is, according to Media Matters, helping Donald Trump with his campaign in the state.Subscribe to theLGBTQ Nation newsletterand be the first to know about the latest headlines shaping LGBTQ+ communities worldwide.
