The vice presidential candidates Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) are scheduled to debate next Tuesday, October 1 at 9 P.M. Eastern in New York City, in an event that will be hosted by CBS News. The debate moderators may end up staying away from LGBTQ+ topics this year in the debate.
